Your comprehensive tour of Dominica begins with pickup at your accommodations in Roseau between 8:30am and 9am. When your guide arrives, climb into an air-conditioned tour vehicle and take off for your first stop, Mero Beach.
Disembark to explore the tranquil beach for about a half-hour. Follow your guide down the sandy beach pathways and learn about the origin of the black sand, a result of the island's historic volcanic activity. Continue to Picard, a town that is home to shops, restaurants, bars, and Ross University. Stop for some snacks and refreshments as you have a look around.
In Portsmouth, you can opt for a boat ride up the Indian River to see local flora and fauna in the mangrove forests. The next stop is Cabrits National Park, overlooking the Caribbean Sea, then on to Calibishie for lunch (own expense).
Visit the Concord River and Spanny Falls to learn about some of the island's remarkable natural features, then stop in Laudat to relax in Dominica's famous sulfur springs.
After circumnavigating the island for 11 hours, head back to your hotel for drop-off.
