Why Travellers Choose This Tour
See Dubai from the air, including the Burj Khalifa, and experience the desert, all in a day, with this combo.
Travel independently to the Atlantis, The Palm hotel, located on The Palm archipelago at Jumeirah. Check-in for your shared helicopter flight and settle inside your state-of-the-art helicopter—either next to the pilot or in the four seats at the back.
Then, after a safety briefing, enjoy the ascent as your helicopter hovers up into the skies above Dubai. Soar along the Jumeirah coastline past the skyscrapers of downtown Dubai and gaze down at The Palm, the artificial island that resembles the shape of a palm tree, as your pilot points out the most notable landmarks. Swoop toward the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, and absorb the aerial views of the sail-shaped Burj Al-Arab hotel, rising from an island off Jumeirah Beach.
Keep your camera poised as you fly over the Arabian Gulf toward The World—the man-made archipelago that’s made up of some 300 sandy islands shaped like a world map. Have fun identifying the different ‘countries’ below and then whirr back to The Palm to return to the heliport.
After landing, make your own way back to your Dubai hotel, from where the next part of your combo tour begins in the afternoon. After an afternoon pickup from your central Dubai hotel, board your comfortable, air-conditioned 4x4, and cruise into the desert that surrounds the city.
Soak in the sandy landscapes and dunes as you travel, and after an exciting dune drive, arrive at a Bedouin-style camp in the heart of the desert. Leave your 4x4 and enjoy an evening of fun-filled desert activities. Climb aboard a camel for a short ride across the sands; get an intricate henna tattoo painted on your hands or feet; and if you wish, have a puff or two on an Arabic shisha water pipe. As the sun sinks below the dunes, dig into a scrumptious barbecue dinner of dishes such as hummus, lamb chops, and lentil curry. See the Itinerary for a sample menu. During your meal, enjoy the live entertainment in the shape of an exotic belly dancing show.
Lastly, ride back to Dubai by 4x4 and end your experience with a hotel drop-off.

The helicopter tour of Dubai was incredible. As was the ride in the dune buggy. We definitely could have gone without the desert camp part. It took quite a long time for the entertainment to start, and it wasn't that great. Neither was the food. The day started around 9:15 am and we were the last to be dropped off, getting us back to our hotel around 11 pm. That is just too long of a day, and they don't allow for an option to skip the last part of the experience. Besides that though, my husband and I made some of the greatest memories on this trip, that we will cherish forever. The helicopter ride allowed for unique and unforgettable views of Dubai's most famous landmarks, and by the time we got out of the dune buggy, my face hurt from smiling and laughing so much, and my arms hurt from holding on to the support bars so tight! It was so much fun! The price for this excursion is more than reasonable, and my husband I STRONGLY encourage anyone visiting Dubai for the first time to experience it this way! You won't regret it!
Our adventure was on Saturday, May 4, 2019.
The roller coaster drive thru the dunes was amazing. Our driver, Mohamed, was super great. He has a great smile and sense of making sure everybody has fun. On our way to the roller coaster drive, we stopped to wait for other drivers and we took advantage to take pictures. I had my phone in my pocket and lost it during this time. I mentioned to Mohamed what happened and he immediately emphasized and told me he would go back to look for it. At the moment I thought he was just saying it and we did not talk about it anymore. After the belly dancing show, around 8:20 PM, Mohamed was driving us back and surprised us by going back to that first stop to look for my phone. It was pitch black and we were using phone flashes, and believe it or not I FOUND my phone! I honestly did not think he would go back, but he was so incredibly nice about it.
Thank you Mohamed, hopefully with my information they will be able to track which Mohamed was my driver (I do not have his last name).
The helicopter flight was an incredible experience worthy of 6 stars! The operations and crew were beyond reproach and made us feel appreciated and safe at all times. This is a definite must do when visiting Dubai. As for the desert 4x4 camp experience this is where the opposite was true. After being picked-up at our hotel the first stop was a complete tourist-trap which resembled a mini carnival with food/souvenirs and guests were required to pay an additional fee to ride ATVs. The next stop was a sand dune ride. Unfortunately our driver was very unsafe and borderline reckless. So much so, this experience could have easily turned to a disaster. Finally, the barbecue was enjoyable but nothing to make-up for the ride there. Certainly take the helicopter flight and skip the desert 4x4 experience!
Missed my helicopter flight but the desert safari was great. They asked to reschedule the flight for me but the day that was available, i had to go to Abu Dhabi and they cant come up with another time for me.This is my first time in Dubai and for a new person, it will be a bit hard locating the helipad. Plus it will really be great if you guys reminded people of their tours a day or a few hours to the beginning of the tour. Most other tour companies do that but you guys dont. That was why i missed my flight. I booked the flight like 2 months before and totally forgot i had the flight. Remembered about it late and got to the helipad a few minutes late. Please you guys should develop reminders to remind individuals about their tour. That is really a wasted $232 in my opinion. this is messed up
We were a family of 3 with an 11 year old daughter. The company was very well organised and professional. Our desert driver was experienced and made the experience very enjoyable for all. The dinner was good, the dancers were incredible. The camel ride was not really a ride but a walk around in a circle. Overall a awesome experience and one everyone should get to take.
This program combines two attractions in Dubai, first the helicopter flight in the morning followed by desert safari and cultural show in the evening. The helicopter ride takes place from the helipad of Palm Atlantis and it was short and sweet offering great views of Dubai. Although for the price I feel that they should have included a pick up and drop service from the hotel. The later half was quite entertaining as well, with dune bashing and cultural show. The buffet could have been better though. Overall a decent experience.
The Helicopter flight was excellent 5 star! Very organized and safe and plenty long enough to see Dubai and the incredible offshore construction. The Desert Camp Experience feedback is mixed. We picked up other people so ended up in the car for about 2 1/2 hours when the dunes were only about 40 minutes from the hotel drive back was nearly as long. The dune bashing was fun and much more aggressive than I expected I suspect that was our driver by watching other that seemed more tamed this was a good thing for us. The dinner was just okay and very tourist focus. Several people selling trinkets and upgrades, I don't care for that. The belly dancer and fire dancer were good. 5 Star without the dinner experience.
The helicopter ride itself was fantastic!
Great views of the city and man-made islands. Great guide comments. Safe, good flight.
Great people at helicopter prep.
Only dings were...
Hazy day, poor visibility. Clearly beyond the tour provider's control!
Poor pre-ride service.
Was informed I'd be picked up at my hotel and brought to Atlantis.
Was told at last minute, No, I'd have to make my own way to Atlantis.
Communication prior to pick-up for ride was scant, at best
