Find your way through central Florence to the Santo Stefano al Ponto Church, near Ponte Vecchio, for your 3pm art workshop. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the workshop.
Step into the traditional Italian ‘bottega’ — or art studio — where you'll meet your instructor and fellow art aficionado classmates for an introduction to the techniques and brushstrokes used by some of Italy's master artists. Learn about key features of some of the most famous Italian artworks such as Ligozzi's Iris, Garzoni's Pomegranate, and Botticelli's The Birth of Venus.
With your own brush in hand and your instructor's supervision, recreate some of these techniques on your own canvas. After the 3-hour workshop, you'll have a better understanding of what it takes to make such a masterpice. You'll also walk away with your own painting as a souvenir.
