Make your way to the base of the Iron Mountain Tramway, just outside of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, where you’ll present your voucher for admission on the glass-enclosed gondola.
You’ll ride along 4,300 feet (1,311 meters) of cable on your way to the top of the Iron Mountains, with sweeping views across the dramatic Roaring Fork Valley and snow-capped mountains. At the top of the tramway, you’ll step out into Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, with lots to see and do. You’ll have the option to purchase admission to rides and attractions, but this pass includes a tour of the cave of your choice.
Opt for the Fairy Cave and walk .25 miles (.4 km.) underground, visiting some areas that were only recently excavated and opened to the public. In the King’s Row Cave you’ll find a huge number of formations, including stalactites, stalagmites, and soda straws, and “cave bacon.” Back in the sunshine, keep exploring the park's exhibits, which bring Colorado's frontier days to life.
When you’re ready to return to the base of the Iron Mountains, simply board the tram for the scenic trip to the bottom, where this experience concludes.
