Asthaloy is a native of Finland so is very knowledgeable about the country but lived in the USA for a number of years so speaks English very well.
Wish it is a full day tour so we don’t have to rush going at slower pace to enjoy these places.

Great tour

Harry was great and I am glad he found me at the pick up area. I loved the van pickup to certain sights at the beginning and then our wall towards the market square. We were able to walk inside all these buildings and get the historical insights. The ferry ride to The Suommelinna was short and sweet. The island is huge and we spotted the National bird-swan, so majestic! Overall, great time and lots of walking!

Recommend this tour in Helsinki to see the best of everything

I had such a great time on this tour. It was the perfect mix of driving, walking- a little free time- a lot of history and we touched on all of the key places to see in Helsinki. The church within the rock (has a much longer and complicated name) was my favorite site followed by Suomenlinna. You do need a decent level of fitness for this tour and the walk in Suomenlinna is uneven and can be difficult at times.

Great tour and great guide

This is a great tour. Our tour guide Harry gave us a lot of information about the city throughout the tour. The first half of the tour was pretty easy with less walking but the final destination of Soumelina islands required considerable walking. Our guide never rushed us though and we went at a reasonable pace. We learned a lot about the city’s history and our guide answered all our questions. Highly recommend!

Very disappointing- don’t waste your hard earned cash in this activity. We didn’t learn anything other than what you might read in an encyclopedia, and the class is very much overpriced. The activities could have been so much more enjoyable, entertaining, and enlightening!

The tour was about 5hrs and covered all the important bits. As there were only 6 of us it was very relaxed and we felt like we got a great overview of the city, as well as Suomenlinna. Leticia was very pleasant and knowledgeable – would recommend her and the tour. Helsinki is a super pleasant and lovely city – it did majorly help we had sun and blue skies for both days we were there!

Gives a fun and full view of the beautiful city. If you can, upgrade it to a private tour and ask for Lukas. He will provide you with every historical and contemporary information of Finland and Helsinki including all the sites you'll visit and more. History, Culture, and Humor - a Great Mixture

I was very engaged by Cesar's in depth stories about the history of Finland, the backgrounds of its settlers and previous rulers, and the beauty of its architecture - unspoiled by the ravages of World War II. Cesar really brought to life the factors and people who have played such important parts in its development as an EU country with a pivotal position today as in earlier times in relationships among European and Russian countries. Plus his sense of humor really kept us laughing. Excellent tour.

My mother and I took this tour with Georg, who was a friendly, knowledgeable and perfect guide given his background! We saw all the highlights of Helsinki and had a good mix of walking and transportation across the city. Georg did a nice job explaining Finnish culture, the significance of the sights, and answering our questions throughout the visit. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see the main attractions in Helsinki but only has a few hours!

My wife and I, due to the reduced tourist travel during Covid 19, went on an unexpected private tour with a knowledgeable and interesting guide. Her knowledge of all the sites we visited was superb and we especially liked sharing lunch with her and getting to know more about her interesting personal history with Helsinki. Transportation in a great mini van was also great. Bring good walking shoes for the thorough tour of Suominlinna. Highly recommended by us!
