Cruise along the Mekong Delta on this iconic tour from Ho Chi Minh City. Taste local specialities, listen to traditional folk music, interact with villagers and discover local markets with the help of a friendly guide. See the famous Cai Rang floating market buzzing with life as the sun comes up and get a true taste for rural Vietnam.
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh-My Tho-Can Tho (L)
Depart your central Ho Chi Minh hotel by climate-controlled vehicle and travel to My Tho in the Mekong Delta. Stop to admire the ornate Vinh Trang Pagoda and board a motorized riverboat to chug past villages, stilted houses, and fruit plantations.
Go ashore at Turtle Island and savor lunch at a local restaurant before cruising along channels thick with water coconut trees. Stop to visit a family-run business and enjoy a hand-rowed sampan trip along narrow canals past farmsteads, fruit trees, and rice paddies.
Following a stroll through a village and fruit orchard, continue to Can Tho for dinner (own expense) and an overnight stay.
Overnight: Can Tho 2-star hotel
Day 2: Floating Market-Ho Chi Minh (L)
Begin with an early-morning boat trip to the delta’s biggest floating market—Cai Rang—at its busiest and most interesting time.
Weave between the vendors’ boats at this wholesale market to see them trading fresh fruit and vegetables, and continue by boat through narrow waterways to a rice-noodle factory.
Watch the workers producing thin noodles from rice, and then enjoy lunch at a loal restaurant before your tour ends at your Ho Chi Minh hotel.

An amazing tour. Packed with interest and events and great value for money. Only downside was the overnight hotel which was appalling. The Hau Giang 2 Hotel. We opened the curtains to find a brick wall and the bathroom and breakfast was discusting.

We had a great time. Our guide, Thuong, was excellent.

I loved this tour! I was both picked up and dropped off from my hostel in HCMC's District 1, which is a huge plus. The guide Tee was engaging and funny. The itinerary hit all the main highlights, including a coconut candy factory, great local lunch and the floating markets. Even the accommodations were decent for a budget traveler. I went as a solo female and then shared a room with another single female traveler I met on this tour to avoid the single person up-charge. I recommend this tour to a first-time traveler to Vietnam. Great memories!

This was an amazing tour. So many special experiences were packed into this tour along with our extremely experienced tour guide, that this tour was over the top. I wasn't a fan of the hotel, and wished they had an upgrade option. The tour bus was comfortable, the meals were good and the various boat rides were exciting, educational and fun. I highly recommend this tour. The low cost definitely doesn't reflect the excellence of this tour.

This trip was amazing! It seemed a bit touristy at first but we were able to see and do so many things in a very short period, which was great. The floating market was fun and the pineapple were so fresh and yummy! The tour guide was so nice and smart about all of the pieces of this tour. We met some fun people and laughed the entire time. I stayed back during the bike ride and got some great video of the snake grilling- not my cup of tea but others did partake! The Hotel we stayed at while in the Mekong Delta was nice, the meals were all very abundant and yummy. All in all- it was a great tour! We enjoyed it so much and highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to pack a lot of spots into a short period of time. Enjoy!

Overall this was a nice tour. Our guide, Queen, was really great and helpful. The hotel is not bad at all, and the lunches provided are quite good, especially the one on the first day which was really a feast! The boat rides are nice and the market is quite cool. The group was a bit larger than we had expected about 30 people but we did enjoy it. A note though-the floating markets are quite touristy now as there was a bridge built in 2010 that connects the area to Saigon and surrounding area. Still worth a visit, but they were smaller than expected. On the second day there is an option to rent bicycles 50, 000 dong which we did and that was great. I would recommend this tour.

This tour is amazing value for money! I loved everything about this tour, the activities were great and overnight accommodation was good. My only slight grievance was with the 4.5 hour drive back to Ho Chi Minh on day 2. I'm thinking perhaps I could have planned a little better and travelled onward from the final stop, rather than travelling back to Ho Chi Minh...just a thought. All up though, don't miss this one...fabulous!

Nice tour but long hours on the bus. Hotel in Can Tho was really not good.
