I am rating this excursion as a 4 only because of the Parade and visit to Victoria Peak. The other parts of the tour were not worth seeing. Overall, this was a good experience. The highlight was the Parade, of course. The seats were fantastic. We were in the middle section of the C grandstand, so every act or band in the parade performed in front of us. We couldn't have asked for better seats. The next best part was the visit to Victoria Peak. The ride on the Peak Tram was fun, although a little unnerving. The tram goes straight up the mountain. There was a long line, but Peter, our guide, got our tickets and we moved to the front of the line. The wait was 15-30 minutes. Peak Tower was VERY CROWDED. I didn't expect to see all of the shops-it was like a shopping mall. That being said, the view from the Sky Terrace made the visit and hassle of the crowds worth it. I suggest that you make a restroom stop before going, as the lines are very long and you don't have much time. The visit to the fishing village was not what we expected. Basically, it is a boat ride to see some boats, large and small, fishing craft and other types, that are moored together in the harbor. There was not commentary to tell us anything about the history or who lives or works there. The trip to the jewelry factory was nothing more than a pretense for the shop to sell jewelry. Many of the people purchased items, so maybe this was worthwhile to some. There was really no time spent on telling how the jewelry was designed or made. We also enjoyed the short stop at beach at Repluse Bay. The Chinese dinner was good and the food was abundant. It gave us a chance to visit with some of the others on the tour. Peter was a good guide. I think he could have told us much more about the history of Hong Kong and the places we saw when we were traveling through the city on the coach. He missed a good opportunity to make us more informed. Before booking this tour, I viewed several others that included the Chinese New Year Parade. They all went essentially to the same places. If you want to enjoy the Parade, you have to put up with the mediocre parts. But, the Parade made it all worth it.

This was a highlight of our trip. From the time we were picked up to the seating at the parade - what a spectacular experience. A very enjoyable afternoon and night that will not be forgotten.

The tour is worth to do. The Peak ist nice and you have a woderful view over Hong Kong if the weather ist sunny and not foggy. The best thing is that you do not have to wait at the tram station. On weekends it is very crowded.
Aberdeen Village ist not necessary to visit. The rest is ok.
The best was the Chinese New Year Parade. Really amazing. Do not miss this!!!!

Would have rather been offered just dinner and parade than extras of visiting peak tram and repulse bay which were very, very crowded. These just seemed like time fillers to justify the ticket price. Dinner was good. Tour offered a drink with dinner but we were told no and to take it up with our booking agent. Seats for parade were excellent.

This was a fun tour and our guide Marco was great! Really funny and presented interesting facts about Hong Kong throughout our trip. Our hotel was not on the list so we just walked down the street to the closest one on the list where they pick you up. No problems at all. They were there early and ready to go. Nice tour bus ride over to the Peak Tram. This was Chinese New Years and there had to be over 500 people waiting to get on the Peak Tram. Marco walked us right to the front and our wait was only about 20 minutes or so. After that we went down to catch a quick, fun ride around the fishing boats in Aberdeen. Then we went to eat dinner and the food just kept coming and coming. Tons of food served family style. Got a chance to visit with the other folks at our table so that was nice. Then came THE BIG EVENT - The Chinese New Years Night Parade WE HAD AMAZING SEATS ! All the Viator groups did that night. We were right at the start of the parade and so close you could almost touch the parade floats and performers going past. Amazing color and lights. Don't hesitate to get these tickets!!! Awesome job by Marco and Viator on this one!!!
