More of a bus tour than anything else
    Avril B, Jul 2019
I am disappointed to write this review as the tour guides waited almost 45 minutes for me and my friend whose bus from Lima was cancelled so we had to get a later one, we are very grateful for their patience and aid with getting to the meeting point. Unfortunately that's where it ended. The advert on Viator states the tour is given in English and Spanish, this was not the case. As the only English speakers on the tour, we were hugely affected by this. There was 1 English speaking guide who got off the bus before the tour began. The other guide was very nice but spoke relatively no English. She spoke about many things on the bus up which could have been of interest to us could we understand. We felt disappointed by the false advertising on this website. After we booked the tour we were informed that it was more expensive than stated on the website as it is the holiday weekend. Nowhere on the page did it state that. We had to pay 50 soles when we arrived to make up the balance. I completely understand a spike in prices during high season but it is your right as a trip advisory company to state these changes on your website. I would also not consider this a trek at all. We spent most of the day on a collectivo, essentially a van with seats. No air con or proper suspension made the journey up an extremely rocky mountain in very hot heat almost unbearable. We drove for the guts of 5+ hours in total in that bus which was probably the most uncomfortable 5 hours of my life. We left the lake at the correct time but were almost 4 hours getting back to Huarez, so if you have any plans after it allow yourself time for this. A more honest and informed advert from Viator could have better prepared us for this trip. Again, couldn't fault the guides but this trip is not what is stated on the website

Dear Avril, As you said, we were pacient about your time, we wait you for more than an hour, which mean you should miss the bus and the complet tour, however i asked please, actually i pushed to the last driver to wait for you, thats the reason wy you had the other guide. However apologize for the times that you spend in the bus more than the normal time. we took it in our mind for the next time to improve our services. Regards,
