Traveller Tips

Quite expensive for a short journey of just under an hour.
Nice wee cruise around the loch with a lot of history and you can sit inside on the rainy days and also have a nice hot drink weather isn’t an issue on this cruise would definitely recommend it 😎
It's good to have a different perspective of the Loch Ness, although it doesn't offer much to see.

Unfortunately not very clear instructions given as to boarding place. We asked at the time of booking if a longer cruise was available and told 'no' at the harbour we were told longer trips were available. A shame as in one hour only a tiny part of the Loch was covered. Well equipped and comfortable boat though and good commentary.

Boat Trip On Loch Ness
Stuart_D, Sept 2021
We had a great time on our cruise with nice music and good historical commentary throughout. Lovely and helpful staff. I would recommend this cruise to all ages and families. The weather was perfect which made everything even more enjoyable. Plenty of seating inside if you can’t manage the steps to the upper deck, nice Costa coffee from the cafe/bar.
Fantastic tour

From the minute you step onto the boat you are taken on a magical tour of the historic marvel surrounding the Scottish Highlands and the search for Nessie. A must do tour for nature and history enthusiasts.

Although parking was difficult at the Hotel. The view of castle Urquhart from the boat with the sun out was great..
lovely trip and great views
Christina_L, Aug 2021
Our boat was 11am departure . The whole trip was excellent but you must arrive at least 30 minutes beforehand to stand a chance of sitting on the top deck, there was a massive queue that wrapped around the harbour area. Once on the top deck if you sit neat the front area you can hear the tour guide telling you the history over the tannoy. The views were lovely and the boat went slowly around the castle so everyone could get close up pictures.
Interesting tour.
Anup_G, Aug 2021
We experienced panoramic and beautiful views of the nature. Memorable moments were the castle visit and commentary which explained the history of lochness.
Musart_E, Aug 2021
Had an amazing time being able to see the beautiful highlands and the loch ness. The tour speech was also lovely to listen to the history of Inverness. We were a large group and the staff were amazing.

Worth for money
Amal_F, Aug 2021
lovely.. worth for money.. although it says 1 hr journey it is actually around 50 minutes. but had a great time. Viator web says only 11am sailing is available, we were slightly late to the destination, called them and changed the time to 12 noon sailing. Hotel parking was full , but managed to find parking by the side of the road
Alison_B, Aug 2021
Great experience despite the rain and Misty conditions. Would advise wearing waterproofs if want to stand outside. Boat came up close to Urquart castle - got great pics. Overall really enjoyed it.

Nice cruise in Loch Ness. Parking is available FoC in the hotel opposite the harbour. Pros : Nice scenery all around. Good informative commentary. Safe boat. Cons : Not many distinct attractions along the route other than the castle ruins ( Urquhart Castle <- I think)
