Choose from a selection of departure times and meet up with your guide at the aerial gondola station in downtown Juneau. A comfy coach takes you north to Auke Bay for your whale-watching cruise.
Your boat, specially designed for whale watching, comes equipped with a heated and enclosed cabin and a spacious observation deck. Your captain navigates through the Inside Passage while your sharp-eyed crew keeps watch for humpbacks and orcas. Once a whale is sighted, the captain slows down and shuts off the motor. Other wildlife, including bald eagles, black bears, seals and seal lions, also call this area home.
With plenty of pictures taken, return to Juneau by coach and ride up Mt Roberts in an aerial tram. From a height of 1,800 feet (550 meters), marvel at the views while enjoying a delicious lunch or dinner of perfectly grilled coho salmon at Timberline Bar & Grill.
The tour ends here, where you can stay on Mt Roberts to wander off on a hiking trail at your leisure, or just soak up more of the panoramas of Juneau and the Gastineau Channel. Take the tram back down on your own when you’re ready.
