When the Insignia is at Kochi port, meet your guide and settle inside your shared, air-conditioned coach. Then, gaze at Kerala’s lush countryside on route to Alleppey for your houseboat cruise.

After about 1.75 hours on the road, leave your coach and ride a motorboat to your shared houseboat. Then, be welcomed aboard and find a comfortable spot on deck. Your houseboat is staffed by three crew and your guide to cater for your needs during your cruise.

Next, sit back and admire the views as your boat sails gently along Kerala’s calm backwaters. Glide by verdant coconut groves, paddy fields, and rustic villages, and soak in the idyllic surroundings and sense of timeless serenity.

While you cruise, savor a tasty Keralan lunch of dishes like chicken, fish, rice, and vegetables, with drinks available to purchase (own expense).

After approximately 2.5 hours on the water, disembark, and drive to Kochi for a sightseeing tour of Fort Kochi, the city’s one-time Portuguese and British colonial enclave.

Stop for photos of the famous Chinese fishing nets and see landmarks including the Santa Cruz Basilica and St. Francis Church as your guide shares their history.

Your tour then finishes with a port drop-off.
