The trip starts direction Guatiza where we can admire the tuneras - plantations and we will show you the different uses of the Cochinilla. We will visit Mala where the Cactus Garden of Lanzarote emerges and of which we can take pictures without having to get off the jeep. We continue northwards crossing the towns of Arrieta and Punta Mujeres. We will head northwest towards Jameos del Agua and Cueva de los Verdes. Those are two of the best tourist centers of César Manrique. You can decide which one of the caves you want to see. We continue to Órzola, Máguez and Haría until we reach the Mirador de los Helechos, from with you can see the Valley of the Thousand Palm Trees and anyone who wants can taste a variety of Canarian products. We will visit Mirador de las Nieves too to see the Famara Valley and its beach and Teguise for a walk in the old town. Finally we will visit Nazaret where we can see the house LagoMar and finish at the César Manrique Foundation.
Disappointingly late cancellation by tour operator
, Jun 2019
I was disappointed that this trip was cancelled half an hour before the departure time.
I understood this was a possibility with a trip of this nature, but no mention was made of any issue when I contacted the tour operator the night before to confirm trip details.
I was due to be collected from my hotel at 9am and received a call to tell me the trip was cancelled, due to low numbers, at 8.30am on the same day.
I was unable to make another day, and anyway, would have been loathe to commit to another early start, which required forward planning, in case the same happened again.
I think a better system could be implemented to avoid such late cancellation.
