Explore the secret side of Lanzarote on a full-day tour of the island’s spectacular natural landscapes. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, venture into the fascinating heart of Timanfaya National Park and hike around the base of the dramatic Fire Mountains (Montañas del Fuego) to witness spurts of steam from the molten lava within. Capture the glittering surface of El Golfo lake on camera; pamper your palate with samples of refined wines in the region of La Geria; and discover the secret caves of Jameos Del Agua.
  • Full-day Lanzarote tour and wine tasting, led by an expert local guide
  • Explore Timanfaya National Park by coach and see the impressive Fire Mountains that typify the volcanic landscape
  • Watch demonstrations of the park’s geothermic activity and learn about ancient island eruptions
  • Stop for photos by inspiring natural sights such as a lava-created coastline and the green lake of El Golfo
  • Visit a winery in La Geria and sample a selection of the island’s crisp and fruity volcanic wine
  • Enjoy free time at the idyllic beach cave of Jameos Del Agua and gaze out at Lanzarote’s North Atlantic coastline
Start your day at Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise, Arrecife or Playa Calero, climb aboard an air-conditioned coach to follow the curvaceous coastal road. Pass through provincial villages and spectacular natural scenes before arriving at Timanfaya Natural Park, a dramatic expanse that boasts the foreboding Fire Mountains.
Step foot onto the sunbaked earth, beneath which temperatures reach 752F (400C), and watch as water poured onto the ground is instantly turned to steam. Follow the exhilarating ‘volcanic route’ through the park and see the destructive path free flowing lava once carved. Gain fascinating insight into the geothermic wonders of the area from your knowledgeable guide.
Leave the otherworldly landscape in favor of the verdant vineyards of La Geria, a distinctive wine region in which mineral enriched soil produced exquisite beverages. Visit an established winery and sample fine wines made from the local malvasia grape. Sated, return to coach to admire scenery as you travel towards your final stop in Jameos Del Agua.
Disembark and discover the unique cave resort designed by local artist César Manrique; explore the eclectic features of the site, which include a gorgeous garden and a lagoon home to albino crabs. After a leisurely stint of free time, climb back on board the coach and return to your hotel.

This was a good tour and covered pretty much the entire lanzarote island. Pros: the guide was very nice and gave much information around the different sites, transport in a big air-conditioned bus, well planned schedule with plenty of things to see. Cons: could have spent more time around timanfaya and would be nice to walk around the base, lunch was OK not that great buffet style. Overall it was a good trip, book this one if you want to travel around in the coach and be guided with time limits.

Day of trip 15th March 2018. Unfortunately for us the day of our trip was a cold rainy day. They have about twenty rain days in the the year and so we were unlucky. The island in March is lovely and green. The temperatures are pleasant but today it was a little cold. We could have been better prepared. We covered quite a large area in the southern part of the island. Visiting the volcano sites was incredible. About 2 o'clock we stopped at the designated place for lunch. There was a good deal to have a buffet meal with a drink for 8. Or you could have sandwiches at the bar. We opted for the buffet deal there was not anything in the bar for vegans. Unfortunately they did not cater for vegans in the buffet section either. I spoke with the man replenishing the trays about non meat dishes and he just shrugged his shoulders. My guide was the same. Although I paid the 8 I barely had anything to eat other than lettuce tomatoes and bread. Every single dish rice, pasta all had meat added to it. Why? Later in the afternoon we went to the camel station here camels were all seated and waiting for tourist to go and have a ride on them. The seats looked very uncomfortable and the poor animals were sitting there in the cold drizzling rain. I took photos but did not ride as I think it is cruel. They were muzzled and any that got up were told to sit back down again. This spoilt the trip for me.

Excellent comprehensive tour of the island with lively knowledgeable guide, The only disappointment was the 'wine-tasting', which consisted of a thimble-full of indifferent white or red wine with no explanation or commentary. Buffet lunch was first class with a huge choice. Each stop was carefully planned to be the right length - time to appreciate the view but not enough to get boring.

A comprehensive tour covering all parts of the island. A really packed day with lots of interesting places. Unfortunately we did not get to see the green lagoon because of safety work being carried out to the access. Nothing you could do to change the situation and the history and information about the ecology made it a must for a future visit. Brilliant driver and guide made for a thoroughly interesting and exhausting day..

Very disappointed. Tour guide was not understandable, so we missed most of the commentary. A fellow passenger broke her ankle at the bottom of the caverns, and the guide was particular unhelpful. The wine tasting was a gift shop with a thimbleful of vinegar. I wouldn't recommend Low Cost Tours

Really good trip to see the highlights of the island. Guide was really good and knowledgeable. Only thing I'd change is there was a stop after El Golfo for drink and cake and a lot of people bought food here as it was after 12. There was then another stop at a museum/shop which included a taste of wine which could have been left out and then another scheduled stop for lunch where vouchers were sold on the coach. If he had said this before the first stop people probably wouldn't have bought cake/lunch although this was quite late 2pm.

Exclude the endless pickups from every hotel on the island seemed like that this tour is superb. Great informative guide and skillfull coach driver had to be, given some of the narrow roads tight bends Superb day and not expensive

Grand tour, the first part of the tour is interesting and by far the highlight, where you visit the national park which is the most volcanic part of the island, very barren, but also very fascinating. you get quite a lengthy drive around the volcanoes. this would certainly be a must see in my opinion. The rest of the tour was very average, there wasn't anything there which I would have regretted not seeing. After the volcano's, we stopped at the camels, where you could have a 5 minute camel ride at extra cost, I think somewhere around 1/2 to 1/3 of the people on the bus participated. And the rest of us had to wait around for about 20 minutes for them. There were two stops for wine tasting where you get one very small glass of wine other than that and a small gift shop there isn't much else to see at these locations. There are a couple of snack stops and a lunch stop which drags on a bit as other than the small church and the restaurant there isn't anything else there to see. you're there about an hour and lunch is I think 10 euros, best tip I can give to pass the times is after the church there are some swings at the side of the restaurant lol : There are a couple of view point stops which were nice, and the last stop which was some kind of hotel/resort place built in a lava tube, this was the only other highlight of the trip really, it was quite interesting, and reminded me of the sort of place a bond villain would live. All in all its a good tour, and you do get a good feel for the island. the only real highlight that I would say is unmissable would be the drive round the national park, and it may be worth looking at some of the other tours that also cover this area. As the tour starts around 10 and finishes around 7 it would be nice if in my opinion they cut down some of the time spent at some stops and perhaps visited a couple more places? The guide and comentary were excellent through out. and the bus was nice and comfortable.

It was a really good tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and I was impressed with how many languages he could speak. If you are getting picked up in a place other than your hotel make sure you know the exact address because I did get lost, when I called they were very helpful though! Pack snacks!
