Overview

See the Grand Canyon on this day trip from Las Vegas and return in time to hit up the casinos. Explore the iconic South Rim on your own terms, saving the narrated tour for the drive through the desert.
  • Day trip to the Grand Canyon South Rim from the Las Vegas Strip
  • Explore the Grand Canyon on your own during unstructured time
  • Continental breakfast and deli-style lunch included
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off from your accommodation on the Las Vegas Strip
Meet your driver for an early morning pickup from your hotel on the Las Vegas Strip prior to your departure (confirm pickup time with tour provider). Begin your drive through the desert, stopping along the journey to stretch your legs at the Hoover Dam lookout point and the funky towns of Williams or Seligman along Route 66 in Arizona.

Upon arrival at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, spend your free time exploring at your own pace: walk along Hermit Road or Rim Trail, attend ranger programming, pop into the museum and gift shop, and of course, take in the view. Take your deli-style lunch with you to enjoy from one of the lookout points.

At the end of the day, return to the shuttle and drive back Las Vegas.

Great trip!

This was a great trip for the price we paid. I was a bit disappointed though as I have been to the south rim before but the bus was late in leaving and in my opinion had too many stops on the way there so it meant the sun had started to dip by the time we got to the canyon so not great for photos. The breakfast and lunch were lovely with plenty to eat in the wee boxes they gave us. Our driver was fantastic and gave us loads of information and interesting facts about the Hoover Dam, Route 66 and the Grand Canyon. It was a long day but worth the visit.

It was a great experience to take this tour. The bus ride was very comfortable. The bus driver was very pleasant and knowledgeable, however, difficult to understand. Low voice and the accent.

Too short time at the Grand Canyon

Bus driver - He is a good guide, he explains lots of things during the trip Bus - very comfy. Two videos during the way to grand canyon Timing 1) Hoover Dam - ok 2) stops on route 66 - it should be better to stop in front of the famous barber (500m away from the actual stop) 3) Grand Canyon - less than 3 hours. Considering that you spend 1 hour on the shuttle bus to reach the indicated point, you have only 2 hours to enjoy the view. Of course, since it is always crowded, the timing is much more reduced than that, making it too much short to enjoy fully Therefore, the tour did not satisfy me

The bus was clean. The driver was friendly and shared great info. It was a long day, but well worth it. I highly recommend. Would have been nice to have wifi and phone charging available.

Grand Canyon South Rim Day Tour from Las Vegas

It was a great tour. I along with my family availed the tour. It was well designed to suit both young and the seniors. A whole day tour yet not that hectic. As improvement feedback, I would like to mention to have more comfortable seats and also, toilets in the bus. I observed most of the people are standing on the queue for the restroom in the breaks rather than enjoying the sights. I have found Flix buses in Europe having restroom in the buses for long distance travel and that was helpful for the passengers.

We started with a Hotel pickup at...

We started with a Hotel pickup at 6:40 am. The driver on the first bus told us that we would be transferred to another bus in about 15 minutes and that we'll be getting breakfast in another bus. The driver was very rude to a non-american passenger. When we got off, we were told to go three different buses, each time the drivers were getting more and more irritated that we were being sent to them. Finally, one of the drivers showed us the bus number we were supposed to get on, and we made onto the right bus - a half hour later. After that it went pretty smooth sailing. We got the last seats on the bus - right in front of the restroom. The entire time, all we could smell was the potty. The drive to the Grand Canyon was LONG. We stopped at Hoover dam with the two different time zones which was cool.. but by the time we made to the Grand Canyon it was exactly 2:30. We had about 3 hours to explore by ourselves. Bus came back at 5:30 and two more stops later, we were back at our hotel by 9:30. Our bus driver was really great and kept us entertained for hours with 3 different movies. The breakfast and provided lunch was very good and we had plenty of water so that was nice. I didn't like the drive time, nor the restroom deal. If i were to do this again, i'd probably pick a tour anywhere between 9 hours to - 12 hours.

Seeing the grand canyon in person...

Seeing the grand canyon in person for the first time is just breathtaking, awesome experience, however the trip there and back is long and made even more unenjoyable by tour driver Stan who treats adults like children and is condescending.
