Why Travellers Choose This Tour

This flexible West Rim coach tour offers optional activities to enhance your experience, plus see Hoover Dam.
This sightseeing tour to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon begins with a hotel pickup in Las Vegas. Hop aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned motor coach equipped with restrooms, reclining seats, video monitors and large windows. Then make the roughly 3-hour trek east, passing through Joshua tree forests and the Mojave Desert, and past the famous Hoover Dam (quick photo stop) and beautiful Lake Mead to the Grand Canyon.

Upon arrival at the Grand Canyon, enjoy three hours of exploring at the West Rim. Hike to the Eagle Point and Guano Point overlooks to take in the amazing views. Visit the Hualapai Ranch for a wild west show and enjoy a delicious hot lunch available from a variety of different outlets (included in tour price). There are many options and a variety of exciting possibilities.

There are also two upgrades to consider during this time frame. First, consider adding a thrilling walk on the Grand Canyon Skywalk, a glass walkway nearly 4,000 feet above the floor of the canyon. Secondly, there's a stunning helicopter/boat ride. Lift off high above the canyon in a helicopter, then swoop down between its walls and land on the canyon floor. Walk around, get an up-close look at the many layers of the interior of the canyon and gain an even greater appreciation of the immensity of this natural wonder. Additionally, enjoy a pontoon boat ride along the Colorado River, looking up at the canyon’s many beautiful colors and stunning rock formations.

Wait for our bus in the traveling center was a little bit uncomfortable. I did not like that the bus had an audio guide , not a real person.

Guide tour by Thomas

Our trip was led by a very experienced tour guide named Thomas and from the offset he was very friendly and informative, he made us feel very relaxed and was able to answer any questions and queries regarding our trip to the Hoover Dam and the west rim of the Grand Canyon, he even told us stories about the beginnings of Las Vegas during the time of prohibition and mobster rule including Bugsy Siegel. We had a fantastic day thanks to Thomas and I would highly recommend these tours not only was Thomas a great guide he was a fantastic bus driver and commentator he needs to be recommended highly to his employers.

Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam

The drive was peaceful and smooth. But we felt rushed when we arrived at the Hoover Dam. It took a few minutes to get up to the bridge and you wanted to take it all in and read the stations on the way up. But you didn’t have the time. The Grand Canyon is great but there was an issue when we got there and the driver was gone for 30 minutes because of a computer issue inside. So again, we felt fished because he is on a time schedule and we lost time because of this inside issue. We just waited on the bus. That took too long. And we got shorted. Overall the excursion was good we just felt rushed.

Good experience

Beautiful experience. But 3 hours is to short time for helicopter, boat, sky walk, lunch and pics. Please give more time to people who spend more money in all this activities. Also Hoover Adam need a stop where we can take pictures to the arch , not on the top. It is noting to really see up there. Stop at the parking lot on the meddle to walk and take nice pics. Thank you.

What a fantastic day! Very well organised, the driver/tour guide Thomas was knowledgable & interesting. The stop at the Hoover dam was good & there was enough time to take photos & enjoy the view of the dam. The views of the Grand Canyon were breath taking & we had an amazing experience.

We were picked up at our hotel at the given time and then taken to the Gray Line Station. We were checked in and on our way quickly. The day was great with our bus driver Thomas. He kept us laughing the whole time. The Grand Canyon was amazing. I would have to give the day five stars and and extra star for Thomas!

Great service and information

This was an excellent tour package of the Hoover dam and Grand canyon. The best part of it was the great information shared by our driver Thomas and the audio guide Jim. Enough time was given at each stop, making it convenient to view each site and get back to the bus on it. Nothing was rushed. Just to note, once you book the tour be sure to call to confirm pickup location and time. We were left by the bus a day before we took the tour and had to pay a $25 rescheduling fee.

This was our first time in Vegas and obviously our first tour with Grayline. It was spectacular and well organized and our tour guide, Thomas was the absolute best. He was very knowledgeable and well informed and loads of fun! We never felt rushed or uninformed or unsafe. We had an absolutely wonderful day at the Grand Canyon thanks to Thomas.
