Amazing Nazca Lines, worth the travel from Lima. We got the private tour with our own driver and guide, professional and informative. However, we didn't go to Huacachina, wasn't advised that we need to leave right away after lunch to reach Lima at 6pm. Such a disappointment.

It would have been ideal to spend 2-3 days in the Nazca area. But we only had one day to do the Nazca Lines from Lima - and I was so grateful that this tour made it possible for us to do so! But it made for a very long day 12/13hrs, with most of it in the van driving along the coast on the Panamerican Highway. The drive down was nice - looking at the desert and sand dunes, surprisingly green agricultural fields, all the towns along the way. The drive back to Lima re-traced the same route of course, with half of it after sunset. There was a lot of cloud cover in the morning, and our Nazca flight got bumped from noon to 3pm. It was a private tour, so we had a lot of flexibility. Upon arrival at Ica, we first went to the airport to check-in and verify the status of the overflight. We had a very nice lunch at El Catador and toured their pisco production facility and museum and bought pisco!. We visited the Huacachina Oasis, but opted out of dune bugging or sandboarding. The overflight was great it was wonderful to finally see the Nazca Lines. There were 10 people on board the aircraft we each had a seat by the window, and each side had a turn looking at each figure. The co-pilot would point out the figures - his advice was to look at the wing tip, then below to the ground. From all the banking though, it's easy to get motion sickness - there were vomit bags, but no one got sick on our flight. Our guide, José, was wonderful - he was warm and friendly, and very knowledgeable - we talked about many things: the sights and towns we saw, Incan history, pre-Incan history, the desert landscape, agriculture and irrigation, Maria Reiche, etc. Our driver, Fernando, was also amazing - he too was knowledgeable about the areas we visited. We really appreciated all the driving he did, especially with the traffic in Chincha and Lima - we always felt safe and comfortable.

Peruvian Cooking Class and Local Market in Cusco | Feb 2020
This was one of the best things we did in Cusco! We were lucky enough to have a one-on-one class with Jesus, and were able to ask him all sorts of questions about Peruvian cuisine. We loved going through the market and exploring it with a local chef, and everything we made during the class was top notch. I would highly recommend Jesus and this class to anyone considering a cooking class in Cusco!

Scenic Journey from Cusco to Puno by Bus Including Hotel Transfers | Dec 2019
This is a nice alternative way to travel to Puno (or Cusco). We made several Stops on the way. Our Giude was very nice and had plenty information along the way and on sights. Information given was not too long und very interesting. Lunch was nice. The Bus was clean, very comfy and only ten people on it, so there was enough space. It takes a whole day but was definitly worth it.

Peruvian Cooking Course

Peruvian Cooking Class and Local Market in Cusco | Nov 2019
It was an amazing experience. We were lucky enough to have a one on one with Jesus. The trip through the market was very informative, interesting and we came back the next day to have lunch there. We have done many cooking classes overseas and I believe this to be the best to date. The kitchen where we cooked a 4 course meal was VERY clean and tidy. A meat dish would of been nice on the menu but the 3 varieties of fish cerviche together with the potato and quinoa dishes were very filling but the dessert by far won the day. Jesus spoke fluent English and was both funny, informative and a great host. The Pisco Sour was great introduction. We would definitely recommend this course as value for money.

Peruvian Cooking Class and Local Market in Cusco | Nov 2019
This cooking class is a must! We first visited the San Pedro market and had a great time tasting all kinds of produce. We then took some of the fresh food with us to the class and made some incredibly delicious yet simple dishes. This class isn't just about food though - there's no better way to learn about a local culture than through its cuisine.

Peruvian Cooking Class and Local Market in Cusco | Nov 2019
My sister and I wanted a unique way to experience Peruvian cuisine, and this cooking class with Jesus delivered just that. Jesus taught us about each ingredient we used and the cultural context of each dish we made. He was friendly, relaxed, and very knowledgeable. The food (three entrees and a dessert) came out delicious and I’m looking forward to trying it at home!

Peruvian Cooking Class and Local Market in Cusco | Nov 2019
Even though I hate cooking, my husband loves it so I decided to surprise him with this class. We enjoyed everything about it - from the extensive tour of the market to the cooking instruction to the actual food and drink itself. We (i.e. my husband) are excited to try some of the recipes when we get back home.

Peruvian Cooking Class and Local Market in Cusco | Nov 2019
Loved this cooking class with Jesus! We were lucky enough to have a private class at 9am. Jesus was a great guide through the local market (which would have been overwhelming and confusing without him) and he gave great cooking tips and tricks while teaching us how to cook traditional Peruvian dishes. He also gave great information about Cusco, Peru, and had entertaining stories. Would do it again in a minute!

8-Day Tour from Lima: Machu Picchu and the Amazon Jungle | Oct 2019
I was blown away by this tour. Two friends and I decided to go to Peru and we thought a tour would be the best way to keep up organized. We never once regretted selecting this tour. Alvero and carlos were the best and did the absolute most to introduce us to Peruvian culture. There is both guided time and free time in this tour, so we were able to explore on our own as well. We also loved the amazon lodge we stayed at. So many awesome memories. Book this tour!!
