Great trip made special by Kazeem who made it so much fun with a spattering of education about Berber culture. We even got to meet his mother in their ancestral family home over a cup of mint tea! Camel riding certainly met all expectations and the drive up into the mountains was amazing. Lunch was delicious and the rooftop terrace setting had views to die for -certainly worth the extra 65 Dirham charge, especially as we were provided with water and plenty of tea and snacks throughout the day. There was time to relax and get to know fellow guests - a rarity in my experience of these types of trips. I honestly haven't had so much fun on a day trip before and it was really nice leaving Marrakesh behind for a while and discovering the surrounding Agafay Desert and High Altas mountains.

Dress for a day of walking

Good day out, but go dressed ready to walk through the mountain. I would recommend trainers or walking shoes with comfortable trousers or shorts. Some in the group had loose fitting shoes which weren't ideal when navigating the mountain. The tour could of included more historical information and general updates along the route but was overall a good day out.

Amazing tour! If you are in Marrakesch, you should book this tour. Our guide (Ali) was amazing, he was always in a good mood and ready to help anyone (including my mom when walking the Berber mountains). In this tour, what you read is what your get... And also much more! Tee is being offered everywhere, you can see the process of argan oil and you get to stop in several places, just to enjoy and photograph the view.

Really great tour that started with a mix up as another tour guide was also called Ibrahim and we got into that tour bus from our hotel. But the tour guides sorted it out without our knowledge and we got picked up by the right guide in the Square. It was a fun group of tourists from all over the world and Ibrahim was an excellent guide and very lovely. The driver was safe which is a plus given the general crazy driving. We also drank a lot of mint tea that day :) The mountains and Beber villages were lovely, but take note that it's a hike to visit the waterfall that some may not be able to do. That said, it was beautiful and the man selling freshly squeezed orange juice was just in the right place! Lunch was included and was a traditional tagine and we all enjoyed it! Also, please note that the Agafay desert is a stone desert, so please know it won't be like the Sahara. Camel-riding was offered but I didn't go, but the others seemed to enjoy it. We stopped to enjoy the sunset on the drive back which was awesome. When we got back into the city, we should have just dropped off at the Square and walked back to our hotel as the traffic was horrendous. I would recommend this tour as part of any trip to Morocco. It was a highlight!

The day trip was amazing. The Atlas mountain and all the scenic views were so beautiful. It is a long day trip so I would recommend keeping snacks in the bag. It also gets very cold up there so take a jacket/scarf and wear comfortable shoes. The tour guide and driver were really nice and welcoming. Overall it was a adventurous day. Loved it.

My favorite trip

This was the best trip I've had in Morocco! It started out slow, as we were driving to the Atlas mountains with many stops at little villages, but once we got to the mouintains, it was breathtaking. The hike started out kind of strenous, but only for the first twenty minutes or so. (If you are not into that, there is always an option for riding a mule, but I promise, it's not worth). It was just steep climbung uphill until a tea break in a traditional berber house. After that it was more of a really nice walk with amazing views and lots of information about the villages, people and other Atlas-Mountain relevant things. We were brought to a big house for lunch, where the tajine qwas to die for. The price was included. From there on, the van will come and bring you to the "desert" for a short dromedar ride. We had the pleasure of seeing a baby dromedare, only 7 months old. It was adorable and just trotted next to us, right next to its mother. It was also great taking pictures with it, as it was very affectionate. From there on, you were taken back home a little bit exhausted but with an overwhelming great feeling of accomplishment. A million starts for this trip!
