El Peñol is an amazing attraction, don't be put off by the stairs because there are cold drinks waiting at the top.
Great tour - really good value for money you see quiet a few things, breakfast and lunch is included and you get plenty of time to take pictures.
El Penol costs 20,000 cop extra to climb to the top.

Amazing views with colour and enthusiastic tour guide

The views around La Piedra, the colourful Guatape village with the cobbled streets. The relaxing and scenic boat trip. Day was planned well. The guide Sergio was energetic from start to finish. He gave full attention and details about the places, events and items. He was very patient even with those not listening and wandering off. Full stars to him. Thank you to Olga and driver Alberto as well.

Great day trip! We went with the guide Maria and she was very helpful! Highly recommend bringing cash for the day trip ( We tried withdrawing money in Guatape and some ATM did not have money)

We had a great time on the trip to Guatapé! The trip was well organized. We met at a convenient location and got on an air conditionned bus. The ride takes about 2 hours. We had a stop for coffee/snack halfway through. Our guide, Sergio, was super kind, fun and entertaining. We had a great time exploring the rock and the surroundings. Then we went to Guatapé where we had a brief tour, followed by a lunch and about a 40 min boat ride. Lastly, we had plenty of free time to explore Guatapé, take pictures etc Overall it was a full day trip and got back to the city around 6:30pm. Really enjoyed it and recommend visiting Guatapé when you are in Medellín.
Everything you’d want to do in Guatape in one tour!

The tour guide, Sandy, was very entertaining and knowledgeable while Olga seamlessly coordinated the tour and Luis drove us all around in a very comfortable bus. The tour includes a ton of great things to do in Guatape as well as a delicious lunch and a fun boat ride. Climbing the rock was a highlight but the whole day was a wonderful experience, and even if you’re traveling solo you’re sure to meet other travelers in the tour group.

The tour was great and the tour guides— Sergio and Gloria were very friendly. It’s all day, so it is tiring. The 750 steps up the rock was difficult for me, but the views were beautiful. Going up Guatape is an additional 20k Colombian pesos so make sure you take cash. Overall it was a great experience.

Our guides Sandy, Elizabeth and Alberto were fantastic - we had a great day, and they helped us at every step of the way. This tour is very reasonably priced, if you take into consideration everything that it includes. Overall 100% worth it, and I’m sure the best way to see the lovely sights of Guatape in one day from Medellin. So nice to just be able to relax and have everything planned out!

Our guide, Sandy, was super informative without being boring. He kept the tour interesting and fun. It was really interesting learning about the history of Guatapé. The tour was very well organized thanks to the co-ordinator, Elizabeth. When we first arrived to Guatapé it was extremely busy so they swiftly switched the tour around so we could go at a better time. It was a lovely whole day experience.

Our tour was organized by Elisabeth, Sandy as English interpreter and Luis as driver. Elizabeth and Sandy designed a well rounded and diverse experience that encompasses history, food and culture as well as fun. We took the English tour with Sandy who made an insightful and engaging tour around Guatape. Last but not least, Luis brought us back safely to Medellin.

Our guide, Sandy, was fantastic! He shared so much information about Medellin and the surrounding towns on our bus ride to Guatape. Sandy also did a great job during the walking tour of Guatape, and we were so impressed that this was included as part of the day. Our organizer Olga, and driver Alberto were also fantastic. We felt safe and taken care of throughout the entire tour. The included lunch was delicious (highly recommend the vegan or vegetarian Bandeja Paisa! Overall, this tour provides great value for money, and we had an awesome experience!

Our tour was fun. I enjoyed climbing the rock at Guatape; the food was delicious (I highly recommend the bandeja paisa), the boat ride was relaxing, and being able to explore the town was enjoyable. Apart from that, it was also very informative. Maria was an excellent guide, and Alberto transported us safely. This is a tour I would recommend to friends and family.

The tour guides were really great! Sergio and Mariaa were wonderful. Anyone going on the tour should be aware there are at least three vendor style instances in which you are asked for tips or to purchase an item. Come prepared with some smaller bills for those instances.
