Make your way to the Naples train station to meet your guide and group at 9am. Once you meet your guide, climb into a private coach for transport to the ruins of Pompeii.
Once there, disembark and take advantage of your skip-the-line privileges for quick entrance to this popular attraction. Follow your guide on a 2-hour tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, buried under volcanic ash after the 79 A.D. eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. You'll also get the opportunity to visit the restored Domus, which were the homes of the city's elite. After Pompeii, take a short coffee break and wander around in search of souvenirs before departing to Sorrento.
As you travel, your guide will fill you in on the history of the town and its significance during the Roman Empire. Make a few stops along the coastal road approaching the town for some views and photo ops.
Once you arrive in town, take a break for lunch (own expense) and some free time to explore on your own. Meet back up with the group for a limoncello tasting, one of the town's most famous exports. Learn about the process of making the citrus liqueur and why the local ingredients are so important to its particular taste.
Around 5:30pm, depart for Naples, where you'll be dropped back off at your original departure point.
