Nice tour. Very peaceful...
Daniel_U, Feb 2022
Nice tour. Very peaceful out on swamp. Didn’t see a lot of wildlife but it was February so a little cooler. Also still a lot of destruction from Hurricane Ida. But we still enjoyed our time on water
Great day in the Bayou!
Deanna_T, Apr 2022
It was amazing to see a juvenile eagle and several alligators. Josh was friendly and knowledgeable. Learned a lot!
Short but sweet
Kelley_E, Mar 2022
The area is beautiful. Wee saw gators early into the trip and our guide was great. The only downside was we only got about 40 min on the wAter before we were deluged by a thunderstorm so it wasn't a full experience.
A highlight of our New Orleans trip!
Michael_A, Apr 2022
We kayaked on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon and saw alligators, bald eagles and owls among other sights. Our guide was excellent and the trip was well organized. Highly recognize this swamp tour!
Great tour
Jamie_E, Apr 2022
Great tour, saw lots of wildlife. My only suggestion would be for the guide to take a photo of each group. We had a great time but would’ve liked a photo to remember it.

Superb experience.
Alexandra_B, Apr 2022
Absolutely incredible experience. Ryan, the guide, was so laid back and made the whole kayak experience calm and thoroughly relaxing. Would highly recommend; the amount of flora and fauna we saw (and Ryan explained) was more than we expected! Thank you!
Wonderful experience
Heidi_M, Oct 2022
We had a great guide. You could tell he had a true respect for the swamp land and the nature that surrounds it. It was a nice serene environment and a good break from the craziness on Bourbon Street. The length of the tour was also just right -not too short and not too long. I would definitely book this trip again.
Serenely beautiful

Our guide Ryan was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He took time to involve each and every person on the trip. The area was specular and definitely a do over!
Great tour! Smitty was an awesome guide
Bobbie_C, Jun 2022
Smitty was our guide and did a great job. It was raining and he offered to reschedule due to concern it would rain the entire time. Our group voted to continue. It did rain, but we had a great time and saw some animals. He put a lot of effort into telling us about animals and pointing them out. It was a great tour!
Beyond what i expected
Tiancong_L, May 2022
Beyond what i expected! Chill, leisure, saw gators and other animals, and the instructor was helpful! Just make sure you have some screen protections before enjoy the trip.
Good time, not amazing
Jacqueline_B, May 2022
This tour was fine, but could have been better. The change of scenery from the city to the swamp was nice. There were no mosquitos, the animals we saw were really cool, and the van was comfortable enough. My friend and I, though, were at the back of the van and couldn't hear a word the guide said over the A/C. He needed a mic. While the journey out was fine, physically, kayaking back to the starting point was a bit difficult, since we took no breaks. The next group was waiting for the boats when we got back, so I guess we ran out of time. So yeah, if you do this tour, be fit, sit at the front of the van, and bring strong sunscreen.
Great day out

Hands down this was the best excursion I done in New Orleans the scenery is out of this world the tour guide was polite and a great laugh I would recommend this to everyone
Moved at a good pace,...
Amanda_K, Aug 2022
Moved at a good pace, taught lots of good facts, let us head back on our own pace on the way back. Had a great time, Terry was awesome.
Change the pace
SueEllen_W, Jun 2022
Our guide Terry was so helpful and knowledgeable. He safely managed a group of 10 throughout the tour while being fun and informative. He was patient through all instructions given and questions asked. It was so nice to get out of the city and experience and different side of Louisiana. We saw a few gators that were a safe distance from out kayaks. The trip was not at all scary, very much the opposite. It was the most relaxing portion of our trip. Thank you Terry!
Just do it! 😏
Sammy_V, Jun 2021
We surprisingly didn’t experience one mosquito, saw plenty of smaller alligators that didn’t attack us and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We got stuck on a stump somehow and he risked his life by getting in the water to push us out! We appreciate the experience and suggest it.
Awesome experience!
PATRICIA_T, Feb 2022
Amazing trip! Went where regular boats could never go. Beautiful scenery, saw alligators (from a good distance) and had so much fun! Highly recommend!!
Connecting with Nature
Steven_J, Apr 2022
Our guide was Josh Smith who goes by Smitty. He was friendly and funny. My kids and I enjoyed the opportunity to glide through the bayou and see Louisiana's awesome wild life. The kayaks allow for silent travel so as not to disturb the gators, snakes, turtles and birds that we were able to see in their natural habitats.
Great swamp tour in kayaks
Karen_T, Dec 2021
We had an unseasonably warm December day so even if we hadn’t seen animals, it would have still been fun. But we did see alligators, turtles, owls and other birds. Fun to do our own paddling too! Josh was our guide and he was great! Funny, interesting and well organized.
Response from Host, Jan 2022
Thank you for the great review Karen! We are glad you enjoyed your time with Josh on the bayou! We hope to see you again soon!
I'd go again.
Joseph_H, Aug 2021
Josh and Curtis were not only helpful guides, but were also quite knowledgeable of local widlife in addition to envasive species. Highly recommend this tour to get away for a little while from the hustle and bustle of the city. Kayaks were simple to maneuver, even for a slightly overweight 62 year old. I'd do it again.
Response from Host, Aug 2021
Thank you so much for the great review!
Great experience
Carley_A, May 2022
This was such a great experience! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable! We were able to see several alligators, different plants, and birds.
