This walking tour covered a lot of...

This walking tour covered a lot of ground in the west village. Our guide was personable and knowledgeable. Got a lot of interesting history of area. But most importantly was the food. This tour focused on Italian food. We were given a LOT of good food. At one of the most enjoyable stops we were treated to some wonderful ravioli, then we tasted different olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Tasting a real aged balsamic vinegar was a treat I had not expected. At one of the historic Italian shops on Bleeker street we tasted cured meats that were truly wonderful. The tour ended at a community square and a shop that sold frozen fruit bars and gelato bars. A refreshing end to a magnificent day. The only negative form me, and it is minor, the tour was a touch too long. But it was supremely enjoyable. I would recommend it to anyone.
