Over all a very positiv experience. Most of the guides were wonderful.
Had one with a terrible voice though.
Need to improve the information about when your last loops start. Almost missed our Brooklyntour and had no time to go off the bus there as we didn't know when we started IT was the last tour for the day.
This review replaces the one accident posted about another tour !
The Hop on Hop off is a good way to get around Manhattan, but the Uptown route has been changed and it no longer serves as a good way to get around the Upper-side of central Park.
Considering the mad, mad traffic in NYC, the Hop on Hop off Red Route is a good way to get from Times Square area to Battery Park, 9/11 and Wall Street.
Did several of the tours with different guides and all showed comprehensive knowledge of their city, and all expressed in a witty colloquial manner. only hiccup came when we were dropped off short from our final stop on a late afternoon tour and had to walk.
The busiest do not arrive at least every half hour as advertised. We waited 1 and 1)2 hour for a blue lines bus. Tour guide said "dunk" more than anything else and between the occasional sentences, and sometimes words, he played terrible "on " hold" type music. Tried the evening tour and 15 min. Into the tour, it started to rain. Now they cannot control the weather but they can control what happens on the tour when it rains:. Our tour guide stopped telling us what we were seeing and they put in a tape which did not sinc with where we were and what was around us. Terrible! I DO NOT recommend wasting you money on Big Bus! 😡
I travelled to New York with my 83-year-old father who had never been to the city. We started our trip with the Hop-On Hop-Off and it was the perfect overview of the city for him and I learned a great deal as well. Our tour guide Nick was top notch.
Good way to see New York and it's attractions especially if you are short on time. The quality of information given by the tour guides was mainly very good but one was not up to the level of the others. Apart from that particular guide, the others were extremely informative without duplicating each other.
