With this ticket, visit the Immigration Museum and Statue of Liberty grounds at Ellis Island.
A bit disappointed, wasn’t able to use the package for the trade center observatory as stated, I suspect because the prices are higher than the other options. Buses were dirty and while downtown, I asked the attendant when the last pick was at that stop, he replied 8pm, the last was 6pm and I had to call and find out because we waited for 30 min, had to pay $30 for a taxi.
Went to redeem our tickets and they told us they were closed until Sept 20.We bought a 72 hour pass. Reason they gave us was because of a Jewish Holiday. We had bought our ticket since August 29,2018 online. I am requesting my money back thank my credit card.
we had 3 nights in new york and purchased a 3 day ticket before we went, it gave us access to Empire State Building 86th floor view point
which had great views over the city, also a short film in lift ceiling showing construction, Statue of Liberty on the Ferry and a stop at Ellis Island which was interesting you could spend a day on this trip, there was also a sight seeing ferry trip included, Museum of New York and Historical Museum, the Gray Line bus tours Uptown, Downtown, Brooklyn and a night tour, with plenty stops for viewing other attractions on routes with free entry, ChinaTown, Little Italy Rockafeller Centre, Central Park and Twin Towers Memorial which was very quiet and peaceful engraved with people, police and firemen you lost their life's helping others was very touching.
Good value for money John
We did this tour in January and LOVED it! we unfortunately didn't get to do everything our ticket allowed as we didn't have time but we used the day, hop on hop off tour, the ferry tour and the night tour and really enjoyed it all! the tour guides are so clued in and have amazing facts.
The Hop On Hop Off is a great way to get around the city and see everything. But, dont expect to be in a hurry! There are lots of cars in NYC and it takes time. With this ticket, you can do many things, but you have to go to the main office to redeem and get your scan coded receipts. So, give yourself time to do that. Our first bus had a personal tour guide who, using the microphone, gave us a great tour. Not all buses have that. Most buses have the recorded tour and hand out the earbuds when you get on. On our trip, the traffic was so bad, we couldnt keep up with the recording, so we didnt always know what they were pointing out. All in all, the only way to see the city!
Hop-on Hop-off Tour: Good trip, visiting all the main tourist attractions. The guides were knowledgeable. What was negative was the equipment, some of the busses had problems with the sound system.
Statue of Liberty tour: Excellent option
Empire State Observatory: Excellent value for the option!
This was good value for money, however the voucher code issued did not work and we spent a long time at the central office getting it sorted out.
Having said that the buses were plentiful and the tour guides were full of information. Good that you don't need to redeem everything within 3 days !
I booked this as the Package VIP Skip-the-Line tour. The instructions said:
Board at any bus stop! Show your paper or mobile voucher to a member of the CitySightseeing staff at any of the stops along your route to redeem.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please visit a CitySightseeing Visitor's Center address located on your voucher.
For VIP Pass Upgrades, you will be required to show your boarding pass and VIP lanyard to board buses.
The bus stop would not allow us to board without paper tickets and directed us to a Visitor Center where we had to show our voucher to get printed tickets. The visitor center could not scan the mobile voucher and said they always had trouble with Viator's QR codes. We had to email the confirmation so the worker could print our tickets. Always take a print out of your vouchers.
Even though we purchased the VIP Skip-the-Line access, we were not given a lanyard and the visitor center had no idea what we were talking about. We were not VIP's nor was there a Skip-the-Line area.
They did have rain ponchos and earbuds for us. The tour got us around the city quite well. We got off at the Museum of Natural History but were not told when the last bus would be by and waited for over an hour before we figured out there were no more buses running.
Do not buy the upgrade. It was a waste of money.
