From Amalfi, Praiano or Positano, head to the island of Capri for this small-group day trip. Board a small and comfortable boat from one of three spots on the Amalfi Coast and enjoy the cruise to the island. From the boat, view the intriguing Faraglioni rock formations and the Li Galli nature reserve and the famed Blue Grotto. Then disembark at Capri and take some free time to explore the island, perhaps riding the chairlift to Monte Solaro or visiting the Villa San Michele. Participants are limited to just 12 on this tour.
  • Day trip by sightseeing boat from the Amalfi Coast to Capri
  • Leave the sun-soaked Amalfi Coast and enjoy views of the Faraglioni rocks with a drink in hand
  • Learn about Capri’s sights from the captain and enjoy stops to swim and snorkel
  • Dock at Capri and spend several hours exploring at your leisure
  • Visit the Blue Grotto, Villa San Michele or the Gardens of Augustus (own expense)
  • Small-group cruise limited to 12 people ensures personalized attention
Set off in the morning, starting your day at the port of either Amalfi, Positano or Praiano and hop on the 33-foot (10-meter) boat. Relax onboard and take in the surroundings, perhaps have a drink and chat with the captain as the Amalfi Coast slowly disappears from view. Stare out at the Bay of Naples, going past diminutive islands along the way.
Stop at the renowned Faraglioni rock formations or the Li Galli nature reserve and take the opportunity to swim or snorkel. Chat with the captain or other crew members about the history of Capri and discuss some things to do while on the island. After the boat gets going again, stop at the famed Blue Grotto (admission at own expense), the former private bath of Roman Emperor Tiberius.
After getting off the boat in Capri, take up to four hours of free time to see the island on your own. Visit the historic Villa San Michele or the terraced Gardens of Augustus, take the chairlift up to Mount Solaro for panoramic views or stroll around the town of Anacapri. All admission fees and food in Capri are at your own expense.
When the time comes, get back on the boat and return to the Amalfi Coast. When passing the Punta Campanella marine park, stop for one last swim before finally arriving in either Amalfi, Positano or Praiano in the early evening.

We five adults used this cruise to get to Capri and loved it. Of course, it was great that the weather was perfect. The boat trip to and from Capri was a perfect way to see the coast. The guide on board showed us the major sites going and coming back from Capri and some in our group enjoyed a swim. Everyone on the trip agreed to skip the Blue Grotto because of the two-hour wait to get in and we do not regret the decision. We had ample time to enjoy Capri, including eating lunch and taking the chairlift for the fantastic views.

Seeing Capri from the sea is far better than seeing it up close ashore! We were most impressed by the seamanship skills of Sandro, our captain. He also was able to point out landmarks and points of interest along the way. As for Capri itself, the day we were there it was a mob scene. Had we decided to take the lift at Anacapri, no doubt we would still be in line! However, the Swedish doctor's estate was beautiful. The open air cabs are fun, too. As sailors, we enjoyed mooring beside several of the yachts we had seen off the coast prior to arrival in Capri. You know you are in a high-end place when the billboards have ads for helicopters!Definitely worth a one-time visit and go with Sandro!

Charismatic captain showed our small group the beauty and fun from Positano to Capri. Shared secret swim areas on the coast, gave lots of history and tips of the area, served surprise refreshments.

Highly recommend this boat tour, we had an awesome captain. He took us to all the sites along the way to Capri and was very knowledgeable. Supplied drinks the whole time (beer, Prosecco, water). Explained how to use our time appropriately once we reached Capri. We stopped for a swim a couple times and ended the tour with some sweets and homemade lemonchello. Great day, great experience

Francisco was our captain and was charming, capable, knowledgeable and a pure pleasure to be with. Everything he took us to was breathtaking. During our cruise around the island, he offered us water, soft drinks and Italian beer. When we arrived at Capri, he told all of us in the boat how to avoid the crowds and make the most of our time on the island. When we left the island, he was to the minute on time. Heading back, he broke out the Spumante and Lemoncello. This excursion was a10. Don’t miss it.

Amazing adventure! Massimo was our guide and he was great! Loved the boat ride and stopping to swim in the sea. Free drinks were given. Our kids thought this was the best excursion we did. Capri stop was nice but we were so excited to get back on the boat. Loved this tour!!

I cannot begin to describe how perfect everything about this trip was. We were picked up from Praiano. The team onboard was warm and very helpful. Overall the organisation of this trip was impeccable. Not to be missed!

Francesco, our guide/boat captain, was awesome. he shared local history, knowledge along the way to Capri.

Stopped at a few spots on the way there, and on our return, to cool off. Also, to enjoy the crystal clear water.

It is a full day, nearly 10 hours, getting us back for the docks around 18:00/18:30p.

Highly recommend and would select this one again!

This was one of the best experiences we had in our two week stay in Italy. This tour is an amazing experience for the price. There were 12 people on our boat, but the boat was roomy enough for everyone to stretch out and relax. The cruise over to Capri is breathtaking! Our group chose to skip the Blue Grotto due to the long lines and spend some time exploring Capri instead. We got drinks, snacks and TWO chances to swim! The pictures we took on this excursion were by far our favorite of our trip, you get to see the coast from the water and it is STUNNING!
