Your day trip to Capri starts with the high-speed train journey south from Rome to Naple. When you reach the Naples harbor, board a high-speed boat for the ride across the Tyrrhenian Sea to Capri.
Upon arrival on the island, meet your guide for your coach tour that takes you sightseeing through the main town of Capri and the hilltop village of Anacapri. This introductory tour is a great way to get oriented with the island by comfortable transportation and avoid waiting in lines for public transfers, plus, learn about the sights from your guide’s informative commentary. Enjoy scenic views, and stop at a limoncello shop for a tasting of this Italian liqueur and to learn how it’s made. Finally, visit the Carthusia perfumery, where the handmade perfumes are created with local, natural ingredients.
When your sightseeing tour ends, you have free time to enjoy the island independently. Perhaps go shopping in the boutiques, have lunch at a local restaurant with views of the sea or take a boat tour to the famous Blue Grotto (all food and activities during your free time are at your own expense). The cave’s famous blue hue comes from a combination of rays that enter from an underwater cavity combined with sunlight entering from the cave’s only entrance.
When your time on Capri ends, make the boat journey back to Naples, where your high-speed train awaits for the drive back to Rome.
