Why Travellers Choose This Tour

With skip-the-line tickets, this time-saving tour covers the best of the Vatican and Ancient Rome in just six hours.
Make the most of a day in Rome by combining a tour of ancient Roman attractions in the morning followed by a visit to the Vatican Museums in the afternoon during this 6-hour guided tour.
Begin your day in the heart of ancient Rome with a stop at the Arch of Constantine and a tour of the Colosseum. Walk through the massive amphitheater as you learn about the bloody games once held there.
Walk from the Colosseum to the adjacent Roman Forum to walk on the ancient cobblestone streets. Hear about the Tabularium and the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina as you walk through what was once the epicenter of the Roman Empire. See how the ancient Temple of Hadrian has been incorporated into a more modern building, though you can still see the streets of ancient Rome preserved at a level well below today's streets.
Visit the impressive Pantheon with its domed roof, dating from the 1st century B.C. to hear how it was preserved through constant use and is now a burial place for Italian kings and the artist Raphael.
Take a midday break for lunch (own expense) before heading to the Vatican Museums for the second half of the tour. Enjoy skip-the-line access with your guide and personalized attention in groups no larger than 12.
Explore the vast collections in the Vatican Museums, amassed by popes over the centuries. See ancient Greek and Roman artifacts, including the Belvedere Apollo, as well as masterpieces by Raphael and Bernini. Make your way into the Sistine Chapel to marvel at Michelangelo's amazing frescoes.
Visit St Peter's Basilica next to the museums to see even more artwork by Bernini, Michelangelo and Raphael.

The tour was overall very nice. I would say that after the first tour they did not remind us about the second half of the tour and where that would be meeting. Also, there was no tab when purchasing our tickets to say we were students. We assumed since there was no tab we could show our ID's the day of to get the student discount for the Vatican Museum tickets. That is not the case. We had to pay the full 23 euro because of an issue on the websites end. As a college student 23 euro is a lot. Besides these things the tour guides were very informative. There was also very little wait to get in and the groups were very small.

This is a FULL day tour. Unless you only have a couple of days in Rome, I'd recommend dividing this up into two days. Our guide was very knowledgeable, but a little more time at the different stops would be nice.

Highly recommend. It was well organized with knowledgeable guides. It hits the major attractions without being rushed. I think the only attraction that is missed is the Spanish Steps which you can do on your own. Not advertised but a nice feature was that we were treated to Gelato at the Pantheon. Walking was moderate and at an enjoyable pace.

Saw everything you would want to in Rome! Michaela was an exceptional tour guide. Only 4 people in our group, was like a private tour.

A lot of walking but fun to learn about the city.

There were two parts to this tour. First a tour of the Colisseum, which was very good - however it finished late- at 1:30, and we were told that we needed to be at the Vatican tour at 2:00 - no time for bathroom or lunch. We couldn't make it.
So missed the Vatican - which was what we really wanted to see -
I got an email from the Viator supplier - saying we were late to the Vatican part of the tour - and to which I responded yesterday - and apparently they did not read it because I never have received an answer.
With Saturday being one of their busy days - weren't able to see the Vatican - and we leave tomorrow.
Very disappointed.

Definitely worth doing! Our guide was informative and fun. We would suggest splitting the tours though. As hot at it was doing both tours was almost too much for one day.
