Meet your guide at your hotel in downtown Salt Lake City prior to an 8:30 a.m. departure time (confirm exact time with tour provider). Travel 50 miles to Antelope Island, the largest island in the Great Salt Lake and home to one of the largest buffalo (American Bison) herds in the country. Alternatively, make your own way to Antelope Island, which offers free visitor parking.
Your safari begins as you drive down paved roads along the island, looking out for buffalo and antelope as well as mule deer, coyotes, burrowing owls, and more with the help of your guide. In addition to stopping at animals sightings, get out and explore Utah’s oldest ranch and the Antelope Island Visitor Center, which includes a museum and gift shop.
At the end of the safari, return to your hotel in downtown Salt Lake City.
