Why Travellers Choose This Tour
The choice of three bike tour itineraries lets you customize a ride through the City by the Bay.
This 2-day tour package is perfect if you’re looking to explore the city and pay a visit to Alcatraz. On both days, your group takes off from San Francisco.
The date you book is the date you'll visit Alcatraz Island. You'll be notified of your afternoon Alcatraz departure approximately 30 days before your Alcatraz departure date.
Once you arrive on the island, get set up with the self-guided audio tour equipment. Make your way through the prison while listening to stories of infamous inmates such as Al 'Scarface' Capone and 'Birdman' Robert Stroud. Take a peek into cells, and gain a better understanding about what life was like as an inmate here. You can spend as much time as you like at Alcatraz, but just be sure to get to the ferry for the last ride back.
The day before your Alcatraz trip, enjoy a guided bike tour.
Evening Waterfront and Golden Gate Bridge bike tour (3 hours)This ride starts along the same route as Option 2, but in the evening hours. You’ll see the city in its best light as you cycle on the ocean side of the Golden Gate Bridge, catching the shimmering (or fog-wrapped) San Francisco skyline before sunset. Pause for photos at Vista Point at the north end of the bridge before biking back into the city to see the Palace of Fine Arts, built in 1915 for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition. Stop by the San Francisco National Cemetery and other Presidio landmarks, and listen to your guide share stories about Bay Area history. Your tour ends back at Fisherman's Wharf.
