Meet your guide at your downtown Shanghai hotel in the early evening, and travel by air-conditioned vehicle to the banks of the River Huangpu. Board your spacious sightseeing boat, and find a spot on deck or in the indoor cabin.
Then, gaze at Shanghai from the water as your boat sets out along the river. The Huangpu winds through Shanghai’s center, dividing the eastern commercial Pudong quarter from the western Puxi district. A cruise along the river is a scenic delight, serving up panoramas of both faces of the city — old and new — and a window into its history and development.
Have your camera ready as you sail under massive bridges, and pass the The Bund, the colonial-era waterfront along Puxi’s banks. Admire the grand, 1920s buildings along this famous promenade, soaking in their art deco architectural features bathed in golden floodlights.
Then, look the other way for stunning views of glitzy Pudong, with its illuminated skyscrapers. Admire the beautifully lit spheres of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, and the twisting Shanghai Tower, the city’s highest building, ablaze with lights.
After your 45-minute cruise, disembark and finish your experience with a drop-off at your central hotel.
