Enjoy an outdoor escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown Singapore on Pulau Ubin, a small, tranquil island off Singapore’s northeast shore. During an eco-friendly bike tour, you’ll cycle around the island to look for native wildlife like wild boar, monkeys and water monitors. A knowledgeable guide will lead you past rural sights like fruit farms, mangroves and beaches while telling you about the island, where Singapore’s only authentic ‘kampungs,’ (villages) still remain. Select a morning or afternoon tour time when booking. Bike-riding level is easy to moderate.
  • 4-hour bike tour on Pulau Ubin from Singapore
  • Enjoy an easy to moderate bike ride through the scenic island with a guide
  • Get a glimpse of local life in Singapore's only remaining kampungs
  • Admire the island's natural scenery including secluded beaches, lush forests and fruit plantations
  • Certified guide offers knowledgeable commentary and an enjoyable riding route
  • Great for beginner and expert bikers alike
  • Select a morning or afternoon tour time
Your bike tour starts on Pulau Ubin, so you’ll need to make your own way to the small island from Singapore via a 10-minute bumboat ride. When you arrive, meet your experienced guide in front of the National Parks Information Kiosk across from the ferry terminal.
During the tour orientation, your guide will outfit you with your bike and helmet and provide a few safety details. Then take off along easy and moderate riding routes, both paved and unpaved, that your guide will choose based on the conditions of the day. Make stops during the tour to take photos and listen to information from your guide about the island’s history, natural environment and local village life in the kampungs.
One route may lead you to the island’s western half, where you can cycle to the Pekan Quarry. Perhaps visit the German Girl Shrine, and enjoy a view of the Western Straits of Johor. Or, you may explore eastern Ubin to see fruit plantations near Chek Jawa and admire the nearly unspoiled beaches and coastal forests, home to native wildlife.
Whatever route you take, at the end of your bike tour, you’ll leave with an appreciation for this tiny, lush piece of rural local life, so close to the skyscrapers of downtown Singapore.

Not our best cycle touring experience. Value for money very poor. Exorbitant cost for a very average guided cycle ride compared to similar tours we have experienced. Some incorrect details given regards location of bus required for transit to location caused delays in travel.
No issue with the guide who was knowledgeable and courteous but in essence not much substance to the Tour. Cycles provided were not well serviced and limited gears available as a result.

This was a great tour that made us work hard in the Singapore heat. It was well paced and my quite fit 70 year old mother kept up with the cycling just fine. We saw wild pigs and some monkeys. Pack plenty of water, it's always hot and humid!

We wanted to see what it must have been like before Singapore was developed-- and this bike tour was a great way to see it. J.C. was our guide and he was polite, friendly, informative and enthusiastic. He showed us native plants, birds and we even caught a glimpse of a wild boar. We would recommend this tour heartily.

Pulau Ubin was a great escape from the busy city of Singapore. This tour covered most of the island and though there was a little bit of uphill, it wasn't that tough a ride. Our guide JC was very helpful and friendly, he just needs to speak a little slower!

This was an excellent experience we had. Our guide, Fadil was fantastic, very knowledgable as well as entertaining. A trip around the island was so worthwhile as it gave an insight into the original way of life in Singapore (in Kampong villages). This is definitely a must do.

Despite very hot and humid conditions, the tracks were mostly in shade so it was quite pleasant. Our tour guide was a local so had estensive knowledge of the island history, flora and fauna and he was easy to communicate with. He made sure we travelled on paths and at speeds that suited our age and fitness levels so we felt safe at all times. The island is quite beautiful and the actual riding time was about two hours, quite enough in thta heat. We would defintiely recommend it to others.

Had a great time. The guide was very considerate of our ages (72 and 71)' but we managed the ride with some walking.
