Had a great experience...
Samantha_M, Nov 2022
Had a great experience with Go Tour Uzbekistan. I went on a Monday and was therefore the only participant in the tour, but I had no problems navigating everything. The trip to Samarkand felt incredibly quick, but was quite thorough. I think I would have enjoyed seeing more of the sights or spending more time at the Registan as opposed to the rug making facility, but it was still interesting. Thanks again!
5-star Experience!

Excellent tour, start to finish! Needless to say, Samarkand is a gem that must not be missed if you are visiting Uzbekistan. With lots of ground to cover, we felt that we had enough time at each of the stops (but of course, you could spend an eternity admiring them). But most importantly, I wanted to praise the tour operator for the superb experience, from the time of booking to the moment when we were dropped off at the hotel. The tour guides were knowledgeable and very engaging; and the office manager was very responsive and eager to clarify the practical details pertaining to the logistics.

One of the best tours I have ever done. Tinings, transportation, guide and lunch - just craftee to perfection. MUST DO in Uzbekistan
The wow factor.

We had a great time. Extremely knowledgeable guide. Plov for lunch! Shopping opportunities. Amazing photo opportunities. Super train trip. The only down side was that we were up early and waiting for 7am pick up when we got message pick up would be at 8.25 am as apparently train had been rescheduled. Apart from that we had a marvellous day. Would recommend.
Visiting old golden days with unparalleled food
MohammadAmin_A, Aug 2022
The nice tour I had with a lovely guide who had a good live commentary. We have seen a lot of delightful specimen of golden days for Samarkand in history & of course, can't forget the one & only, delicious Uzbek Plov included in the tour.
Felt Abandoned but Amazing Samarkand Guide

I am a solo older traveling lady who booked this tour to Samarkand (which wasn't inexpensive by the way). Trip started off very rocky as due to some problem I'm told was picked up late. I didn't know any details other than what I read on the tour site. I had sent some correspondence asking how many might be on the tour never found out until was in the pickup car that I was the only one which is okay Told I had 12 mins until train left, rushed through security to the train and told to board. Had no information as to where my seat was or where to meet the guide in Samarkand. Train personnel didn't know where to put me. Super nice employee said to take his seat while he worked which I did. Train ride was lovely & comfortable. Uzbekistan Railways offers a good modern service. Got to Samarkand & had no idea where to go. Walked in and out & around the train station. I don't know how long I spent looking for the guide?? Decided to find a cab driver to take me to the sights which I did and negotiated a price. As we were going to his cab I saw the guide hold up a sign with my name. Did go with the appointed guide who was wonderful in every respect as was the driver. For them I would give the highest score possible. Throughly enjoyed & learned so much!! This guide had to figure out my train situation back to Tashkent which she amazingly did & at the right time walked me to the platform, had sent me a copy of my ticket so could board. Enjoyed the train back to Tashkent. Had no information on where to meet someone to take me back to my hotel. Followed the other passengers out of the terminal and saw 1 person holding a sign, not my name. I walked around the perimeter 2 complete times and never saw anyone I thought was there for me. Thought, abandoned again so hired a taxi to bring me back to the hotel. This was an expensive tour & was handled badly.

Hello, we are really sorry you had a bad travel experience. We always value our traveler's opinions and always improve our services for future travelers. These feedbacks are really crucial for us to provide best travel experiences for everyone. In order to provide a more detailed overview about your experience for future travelers, I would like to mention the following statements. According to regulations of the Uzrailways we are not allowed to enter inside the train station, and travelers just need to follow the crowd and sign to exit from the train station, and there's only one exit point in the train station. In your case, you did not exit from the train station and stayed there, when we called your local number, we could not reach you due to an invalid number which provided by you. We don't wanna blame you for this, but there are some things which are not under our control. Usually, we escort the travelers to find their seats on the train, even in your case we escorted you to find your seat. But when you arrived in Samarkand you did not exit from the train station, and the guide was waiting for you over 30 mins outside the train station with a nametag of yours. Eventually, she contacted the railway administration and went inside the train station, and met you inside the train station.
It's very comfortable tour

This tour is very comfortable. It is door to door. Everyone was very kind and friendly. I was solo guest but several peoples worked for only me at each part. I almost didn't wait at all place. The guide is kind and smart too. She was not only guide but also photographer. Thank you for awesome tour.
A day in Samarkand
Essmaeel_A, May 2021
Tour was perfectly organized. I was picked up by the driver from my hotel who took me to train station in Tashkent. On arrival in Samarkand, my tour guide (Maftuna) was already waiting for me. She knew what she was talking about, told me a lot of historical facts, took me to bunch of places. Though I was the only one (without any group), I enjoyed a lot. Money well spent. Highly recommended.
Excellent day trip to Samarakand

I am so happy I went with my gut and booked with Viator again. It never fails in finding excellent tours for the limited free time I have on work trips. This tour provider checked in with us regularly throughout the entire process, including making sure we were having a great time in Samarkand. Our tour guide Gulya was fabulous! She was so patient with all of our photo taking and gave us just the right amount of historical data and fun facts. This was just an absolutley fantastic day trip from start to finish. I highly recommend booking this day tour. You won't regret it!
