Traveling by air-conditioned coach with a professional guide, stop to visit the archaeological relics of ancient Caesarea, a port built by Herod the Great and home to the ruins of a harbor and Roman amphitheater. Visit Haifa to see the exquisite Baha’i Gardens, stroll around the sea grottos of Rosh Hanikra, and stop in the timeworn port of Acre to explore its Crusader tunnels and vibrant Old City Market.

  • Walking tour of the ancient ruins and and the Roman theatre at Caesarea
  • View the Bahai gardens from Haife
  • Explore the Rosh Hanikra Grottos
  • Discover the Crusader underground city and crypt at Acre

Hop inside your air-conditioned coach at your central Tel Aviv hotel and set off on your full-day trip to discover some of Israel’s ancient port cities and coastal highlights.
As you travel, listen as your guide talks of the region’s ancient history. Hear about your first destination, ancient Caesarea, where the remains of a grandiose port city built by Herod the Great, line the Mediterranean shores.
Visit the Caesarea National Park to see the timeworn ruins of Herod’s harbor, the Roman amphitheater and other relics, and learn how the port was named after the Roman emperor Caesar Augustus.
Continue to Haifa, Israel’s third largest city, situated between Mt Carmen and golden Mediterranean beaches. Hear how this picturesque city is home to the headquarters of the Baha'i faith, and view the magnificently terraced Baha'i Gardens, topped by a gold-domed shrine to Bab, the faith’s founder.
Travel on to Rosh Hanikra in the Achziv Natural Reserve, where the sea has carved beautiful caverns from the white cliffs. Admire the turquoise-water-filled grottos and with luck, glimpse the loggerhead turtles and bats that frequent this protected area.
Next, continue to Acre, an important port-city in ancient times. Hear how its Hebrew name of Akko means ‘until here,’ reflecting its location at the furthest point of the land of Israel, and learn about its Greek, Roman, Crusader and Ottoman roots.
Explore some of the archaeological treasures in the UNESCO-listed Old City, including the Crusader underground tunnels used by the Knights of St John. Then, stroll around the bustling Old City Market to browse the stalls selling spices, herbs and trinkets.
Perhaps snap up souvenirs (own expense) here and then travel back to Tel Aviv, where your trip ends with a hotel drop-off.

Great tour and an amazing tour guide
, Jul 2019
Our tour was fantastic mostly because Lorne was the best tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and adds just the right amount humor and spice to his presentation. He is very good about keeping the tour on track and letting people know that if there is free time they need to be back at the specified time. The bus was comfortable, the tour itself was incredible and it doesn't get better then having Lorne for your guide!
Thousends years of history in one day
, May 2019
The guide was very helpful and prepared so that we could appreciate the history and the landscape of the three places. If you love nature, beauty, history and architecture this trip may add a wonderful day to your israel experience.
A fabulous interesting tour

We thoroughly enjoyed this trip around Caesaria, Haifa, Akko and Rosh Hanikra. Our tour guide Nicola was excellent. She was knowledgeable, friendly, interesting and accommodated our eating issues without any problem at all. It was a very busy day but she kept us amused with history, politics and lots of interesting stories. I’d highly recommend this trip
Affordable and informational

Took the day trip to north of Israel. Pickup and drop off was flexible, price was cheap, the guide was personable, knowledgeable, and didn’t let the group linger.
Great sites but luckily weather was great

Great tour/sites but may not be great if weather is not good. Lunch was not worth the extra money charged.
Great Day

The tour guide was fantastic, very confident, very informative with a lot of energy and we were given so much information everywhere we went. It was a terrific tour. I would recommend it to everyone.

Tour was very rushed. The group size (around 30+) was too large, making it difficult for all to stay together at the sites and hear the guide. Inadequate time was provided for the lunch stop. The lunch itself was not included in the tour price, offered very limited menu options, and was expensive. The "English-speaking" guide had a somewhat limited command of the English language, leading to confusion about historical names and places.

The amount of history and culture...

The amount of history and culture wrapped in this one single day is amazing. The guide was knowledgeable and generally pleasant enough, I wish he gave more of a guided tour of Akko, instead of just letting us roam and figure it out alone. My only worry was that the mini van was rather dirty and old and the driver was a maniac, made risky choices in traffic like heading straight into a roundabout with 0 care about priority and missed slamming into the side of another vehicle by 10 cm or so and only used the turn signals twice, once in Caesarea and once in Akko. It's true that most people in the middle east drive rather recklessly but me and a British passenger both sitting right behind the driver had shocked faces every couple of minutes seeing how the driver negotiated traffic.
