Immerse yourself in the Italian caffè culture during this small-group culinary tour. Spend 3 hours strolling through the neighborhoods of Castello and Cannaregio, listening to your guide's thoughtful commentary on Venice's gastronomic traditions. Taste some of the bold coffee that Italians like to linger over and a few of the city's best 'pasticcerie', or desserts. This small-group tour is limited to 12 people or fewer to ensure an intimate atmosphere and personalized attention from your guide. All tastings are included.
  • 3-hour walking and culinary tour of Venice's bakeries and cafés
  • Taste traditional Venetian and Italian desserts such as tiramisu, panettone and torrone
  • Learn to drink coffee like a local at a torrefazione
  • Learn about Venetian culinary history from your guide
  • Small group ensures personalized attention
Meet up with your guide and small group on the steps of the Santa Lucia train station entrance in central Venice.

Embark on your 3-hour coffee and dessert culinary tour of the city, starting in the heart of the old Jewish ghetto. Learn about the important role this 500-year-old neighborhood has played in Venice's history as you bite into a traditional Kosher pastry. Then, it's time to start learning how to do Italian coffee the right way; your next stop is a family-owned coffee roastery and café. Learn how the locals take their coffee in this historic torrefazione (coffee shop).

Sufficiently caffeinated, take an energetic stroll through Cannaregio, stopping at a family bakery famous for torrone and other traditional Venetian desserts. Take a pause here to listen to your guide's commentary on Venetian culinary history while you taste some of the bakery's products.

Continue towards Castello, Venice's largest island and home to the Naval Dockyard. Stop at another family bakery famous for seasonal desserts: panettone at Christmas, colomba at Easter and other samples depending on the time of year. Next stop is another bakery for the world-renowned tiramisu; learn about the background of this popular dessert as you dig in.

Last stop, just near your ending point at the Rialto Bridge, is a gourmet chocolate atelier, where you'll learn how the chocolates are made and get one last tasting as a parting gift.

My mom and I only had one day in Venice and could not have enjoyed this tour more. Elizabeth was right on time to meet us and two other people and she was very knowledgeable of Venetian history and local facts. She took us to various places to eat which were all amazing! Not only that, she was able to steer us away from the crowds which made for a very relaxing and absolutely gorgeous walk through Venice. We were able to appreciate quaint bridges and walkways that were so charming and peaceful. We loved the food and the company and didn't expect to learn as much about Venice as we did!

Simone was a fantastic guide!!! It turned out to be a private tour. Simone let us do some quick shopping on the tour, showed us great spots for pictures, explained a lot of the history and told stories of the statues we passed. The food stops were all interesting and tasty.

Very well done, although there were only three stops in a long , hot walk. We had thought there would be several more.....

Bernice and her colleague Abbigail made this such a memorable tour. They had a vast and interesting knowledge of Venice. We travelled through the back streets and the family run bakeries and chocolatier we visited were top notch. Our guides were very friendly and we would definitely recommend this tour! Great way to spend a morning in Venice.

This tour was Great for our Family of 3, 8 year old son! It was really nice to have someone who knows where they are going in Venice show you around and give you hints to get the most our of it when you are there. Beatrice was amazing. She told us about history and info of Venice and the food. The only thing that is not true about this is that you do not get dessert samples, you get the whole dessert. Do not eat before you go, you will be full. I loved that they went to places that were locally owned, this was important to us and we were glad that we supported local Italians. The food was amazing and a lot to eat. A nice walk, especially see some of the local areas not just tourist.
My son says 500 stars as he liked eating everything and all the chocolate. Please be aware that hot chocolate in Italy is more like melted chocolate and is very rich.

Iole was an amazing guide, she was so knowledgeable and friendly. Amazing tour, wish we had done it earlier in our visit.

Absolutely great tour. Got to know where the locals go for their cakes and drinks, while our amazing guide took us through places we hadn't discovered yet. Without this tour there were definitely a few things we would have missed on our visit. Can't recommend it highly enough

Interesting, but too many stops close together with cake or similar at each stop. Too much cake, not enough tour.

This was the most relaxing and enjoyable tour we took during our 30 day stay in Italy. Eleonora was more than we could have hoped for. She was knowledgeable and welcoming. We loved, loved, loved this tour!
