Make your way to the Hyack Floatplane Terminal 30 minutes prior to your 6:15 p.m. departure. Gear up in a survival suit and attend a short safety briefing before boarding your high-end custom vessel for you 3-hour sunset whale watching tour. This boat accommodates a maximum of 12 passengers for an intimate viewing experience.
Head out on the waters of southern Vancouver Island with a knowledgeable captain who will help you spot whales, orcas, sea lions, seals, bald eagles, and more in their natural habitat. Although sightings are not guaranteed, the likelihood of seeing whales during the sunset tour is higher than at other times of day because fewer vessels are out on the water.
It is recommended that you bring your own food and water for the trip and that you dress for the weather with an extra layer. Heated seating inside the cabin as well as seats on the deck are provided.
Return to the terminal at the end of the tour.
