An enjoyable/informative tour

The guided cycle tour by Cecil was very enjoyable. Cecil was extremely knowledgeable about the history of York’s various locations and the whole tour was fun and informative.A great way we felt to see where everything was located around the centre of York.It was a very enjoyable 2 1/2 hours spent with a very friendly/pleasant guy.Would highly recommend this tour even if you haven’t cycled for a considerable length of time.

We had a great 2.5 hours with our guide from York Cycling Tours. Very friendly, informative and easy to be with. An easy flat ride covering many areas of York with lots of stops and interesting points along the way. Would definitely recommend.

We took part in the bike tour on a grey day with rain showers - this made no difference to the tour. Cecil was a brilliant guide and showed us many interesting sights around the city. His stories kept us all captivated and we thoroughly enjoyed our two hours in his company. We’d definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to see and learn about this beautiful city 😊

Cycling for a few hours was a great way to see areas of York we otherwise wouldn’t have seen. Cecil is full of facts, information and stories from when the city first began to develop to how it is now. The route couldn’t avoid a small distance on the busier road but was safe, flat and followed a mixture of quiet roads, cycle routes and a lovely stretch along the riverside. We loved seeing the contrasting architecture of the buildings and the classic views of the Minster. A great way to discover York and great value for money.

Excellent cycling tour of York

Cecil, our guide, was astonishingly good. He’s so knowledgeable about York’s history and told us many details about local landmarks. Also he was was extremely funny! And he took great care to ensure our safety - not easy when dealing with a group of 10 cyclists. It was a very relaxed and unique way to learn about York. Highly recommended.
