The “little” extra? Try the Stand up paddleboard and, in the same time, enjoy an original guided tour in the heart of Ålesund, surrounded by its Art Nouveau buildings. Standing on your Stand Up Paddle board, you’ll get a better view down into the clear waters of Ålesund’s strait and in the same time will enjoy the architectur of this beautiful city.

Experience what it is like to paddle in the dramatic UNESCO world heritage listed Geiranger fjord, on this 2-day trip. During these two days you will go on a scenic hike to a great campsite with stunning views over the fjord, where you will meet local heritage on old farms. The sheer size of the fjords and your humble presence is an overwhelming experience. Kayak through Brosundet before crossing Aspevågen, south of the city. Hear about the world recording-breaking Slinnings Bonfire as your round Slinnings Point, then pull up to shore on the island of Hessa where you embark upon a hike up Mount Sukkertoppen. The tour starts from our room at Stranda at 10.00, but for those who want to meet up directly by the water is going well too, then there is attendance at 10.45. The guide tells the story of Lygnstøylvatnet and the race that dammed the water with lots of exciting facts around. After safety review, equipment (wet suit, snorkel, mask, flippers, gloves and wet shoes) will be distributed to all participants and we are getting ready for snorkeling on Lygnstøylvatnet. We are about 1.5 hours in the water before we reach the shore and end with bonfires, coffee and cinnamon buns. This is a trip for those who like to challenge themselves and are not afraid of water. It's cold in the water, but we get thick wetsuits that keep us warm during the trip. Snorkeling is basically an activity that suits anyone who wants to test something different and it does not require any kind of prior knowledge, except that you must be able to swim. We have an age limit of 12 years.
