The Basics

First trip to Christchurch
Fabulous way to see the inner city. We did the whole tour then spent the day hopping on and off the tram at the places we wanted to explore further

The whole experience was fantastic! The meal was great, the staff were all very courteous and professional, and the tram ride itself was an awesome way to see Christchurch on our first eveningthere. Would recommend to everyone, and would go back myself if in Christchurch again.

Christchurch Hop-On Hop-Off Tram
Excellent value for money and chatting to the overseas tourists on the tram they loved it too. The trams were clean and comfortable and the driver interesting and informative. She had a good sense of humour and a wide knowledge of the city and the progress that had been made.

Christchurch Hop-On Hop-Off Tram
My friend and I are pensioners for whom walking any distance is not easy. We really enjoyed our day on the ChCh trams. We were able to do the whole inner city loop...enjoying the sites of unseen new developments with commentaries from knowledgeable tram drivers...then circle again hopping off to spend time exploring city highlights eg the new library, the Margaret Mary playground, the Riverside markets, New Regent Street eateries, upmarket shops.

It was good, just we were not lucky enough with the weather, it was cloudy and we couldn't enjoy the full views.

Tramway Restaurant 4 Course Dinner Service through Christchurch
Wonderful food, service and experience. My friend enjoyed the wine matching with the meal. The carriage is beautifully restored with polished wood and fabrics. There is a toilet on board but as expected on a train, it is small and very low. People with limited mobility may find it difficult to use although there is a hand rail. There is a toilet stop after the mains are served back at the boarding point. The journey then continues for dessert.

Being a first time visitor to Christchurch, I was super impressed with not only the service, but the friendliest of the drivers and the people in general. It was an amazing experience which has made me want to return in the near future for more.

Christchurch Hop-On Hop-Off Tram
We really enjoyed the conductor and drivers friendliness and description of the highlights. It was a good way to see the central city area and stops were convenient for the things we wanted to see. I heartily endorse this as a first attraction when coming to the city to orientate you.

Tramway Restaurant 4 Course Dinner Service through Christchurch
Great travelling on a vintage team enjoying a four course meal. Food was excellent, even more so considering the tiny kitchen the chef had to prepare in for 40 people, and service wonderful. Thoroughly recommend.

Apart from the gift shop lady following me and partner around thinking we were going to “steal”, this place has Great views!! A really good place to relax and enjoy the views for great pics 😂 I noticed a lot of kids enjoyed the outside area too. Their cafè was alright, not much to choose from when I went, maybe I was early?
