Alpen Park Tours and Activities

Whether you want to soar over the treetops on a zipline, ride a rollercoaster, or hurtle downhill on an alpine sleigh, Alpen Park offers plenty of ways to get your adrenaline fix. The small amusement park makes a fun destination for families and boasts a picturesque location overlooking forested hills.

The Basics
Though admission to the park is free, each attraction requires a separate tickets. Opt for a passport that grants you unlimited access to all six of the main attractions or purchase pay-as-you-go passes for each ride. Highlights include a treetop adventure course, high-octane thrill rides such as a rollercoaster and freefall tower, and quad bikes.  There’s also a 4D cinema, a 3D shootout game, bumper cars, and a soft play area for younger kids.

Things to Know Before You Go

• Alpen Park is a must-visit attraction for families with kids of all ages.
• On-site facilities include lockers, parking, a gift shop, and several restaurants.
• There are attractions suitable for all ages, but some have height or age restrictions.
• The park is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers, but not all of the activities are suitable for those with limited mobility.

How to Get There
Alpen Park is located just outside of Canela, around 68 miles (110 kilometers) northeast of Porto Alegre or an 2-hour drive. There’s no public transport directly to the park, but you can take a taxi from nearby Canela or Gramado.

When to Get There
The park is open daily from 9am-5pm year-round. It can get busy, especially on summer weekends, so either buy your tickets in advance or arrive early to avoid peak lines.

Family Fun in Canela
There’s a surprising number of theme parks and family attractions around Canela and neighboring Gramado. Florybal Magic Park Land has a 7D cinema and rides suited to children under 12, while the  Mundo a Vapor is a miniature park devoted to all things steam-powered. In neighboring Gramado, learn to ski and snowboard at the Snowland Park; celebrate Christmas all year round in the Santa’s Village; or see miniature replicas of world-famous landmarks at Mini Mundo park.
