The Basics

Forty of the palace’s 1,441 rooms are open to the public, including the private apartments of Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth (Sisi), as well as the exquisite 18th-century rooms of Maria-Theresa—the only female ruler of the Habsburg dynasty. The vast palace gardens are also a must-see, with a spectacular palm house made from iron and glass, a hedge maze, and a labyrinth. Visit on a skip-the-line tour to beat the crowds and benefit from the knowledge of an expert guide, or opt for a private tour for a more personalized experience. For an evening of culture and music, attend a live concert in the Schönbrunn Palace Orangery and listen to famous works by Mozart and Strauss. Or, get an overview of the city and the palace on a Vienna city tour, stopping at other highlights such as the Vienna Opera House, the Danube River, and the Kunsthistorisches Museum.

Skip-the-Line Schonbrunn Palace Guided Tour and Vienna Historical City Tour
We enjoyed the palace tour and were given ample free time to roam the grounds after. We were a little disappointed it wasn't an English language only tour.

Thx Katerina for sharing all your knowledge. Keeping two teenagers engaged is not an easy task and you managed to keep them entertained the whole tour.

Good option if you just want a fairly quick tour with a good guide who knows his stuff. The palace and gardens are lovely but you won't have a huge amount of time there. The palace tour is informative for sure and you also get some background and information on sights along the way while on the bus.

Tour guide was exceptionally qualified and very good. Tour was a bit disorganized at the start because of rude tourists being late and feeling self entitled. The palace was amazing.

We did this tour on Monday. The guide on the coach was excellent in pointing out the interesting places along the route. The coach was very clean with a very good driver. The palace is a piece of art and it's gardens you can stay a whole day touring them. Well done to all.
