"As a Vietnam vet who was returning for the first time in 50 years, a visit to the tunnels seemed imperative as they were much of the focus in my small part of the US was effort (the Army Military Intelligence Officer responsible for accounting for enemy strengths and losses the last year of our advisory presence). While the tunnels are real and a good demonstration of the determination of the NVA / VC / NLF forces, the narrative is 50% Communist Party revisionist history. I expected as much and wasn't disappointed. The Cao Dai Temple on the other hand was worth the prior frustrating expience - it was both architecture and event. Our bus arrived at the perfect time to get arrayed in the tight entry to the temple to observe the daily mid-day gathering of followers in prayers. The building is elaborate and unique in symbology. The tour photos are what you'll see, and this temple and ceremony is among the top of the dozens of temples and mosques we'd visited in four countries. Recommended, but bring some patience for the tunnels."
