See Bangkok’s Buddhist temples and the Grand Palace on a 3.5-hour tour of the city’s historic highlights. Visit the Temple of the Golden Buddha, or Wat Traimit, and Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, then explore the grounds that once housed the royal Siamese court. This 3.5-hour tour includes all entrance fees and round-trip transport from centrally-located hotels, and both morning and afternoon departures are available.
Start with pickup at 8:30am or 1:30pm at your centrally-located Bangkok accommodations, then head into the Chinatown neighborhood to make your first temple stop of the day at Wat Traimit, often called the Temple of the Golden Buddha. Beneath the gilded roof of the eye-catching main temple, you’ll find the largest solid gold Buddha image in the world, a 5.5-ton sculpture whose origins have been lost to history. From Wat Traimit, continue to the nearby Wat Pho, or Temple of the Reclining Buddha. Walk the full length of the 151-foot (46-meter) long Buddha image that's the longest in Bangkok, or light an incense stick by the Buddha’s inlaid, mother-of-pearl feet. Head to the banks of the Chao Phraya River to see the Grand Palace, whose elegant stepped roofs are considered the height of classical Thai architecture. You’ll be following in the footsteps of the Chakri Kings as you tour the sprawling site; still a working palace, most of the interior is closed to the public, but the manicured grounds and palace temple are fascinating to explore. Following your tour of the Grand Palace, this 3.5-hour tour concludes with drop-off at your Bangkok hotel.

From the moment we booked with Viator was very pleased with the email correspondences regarding the tour with confirmation and time of pick up. We were met at our hotel by our tour guide Nina and air condition mini van. Nina was a very good tour guide everything went smoothly and we saw everything, the Grand Palace, golden Buddha and leaning Buddha . Nina told us about places as we drove to each destination and history of the royals and even took us and arranged a long boat taxi. We really enjoyed our tour there were 4 of us .
We loved seeing all the temples with our tour guide, Pim. Everything was well coordinated - minimal waiting for the driver after seeing a sight and we often got to skip the ticket lines since we were with a guide. I would have given it a 5 if we hadn't been drug to a Gem factory which was a scam where our tour guide was clearly there to just get a commission out of us. She wanted to take us to a Silk factory and we said no and went back to the hotel. Great day and ended on a bit of an annoying now.
Great tour. Our guide was on time and did exactly what was advertised plus a bit more. It was a hot day and he bought us a drink and ice block which was a nice touch. Very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour One of the best things was he knew where the shortcuts away from the crowds were.
An excellent tour. Our guide spoke good English and gave lots of opportunities for photo stops. Grand Palace was beautiful but very busy, take drinks with you as there's nowhere to buy once inside. The Golden and Reclining Buddhas were also amazing. Highly recommended
Fantastic tour with our lovely guide, Noy. She was very knowledgeable and friendly, and the private tour made seeing the sites so enjoyable. She looked after our every need and it was so much easier having a driver dropping off and picking up at each spot. Would totally recommend this tour, especially if your time is limited and you want to ensure you get the best out of each location..
