Travel to Cape Leveque, the northernmost tip of Western Australia’s Kimberley region, on a 4-wheel-drive day trip from Broome, with the option to return to Broom by plane. As you traverse the remote landscape by 4WD, admire the stark yet stunning scenery of white-sand beaches, red cliffs and the turquoise Indian Ocean. When you reach the cape, enjoy a picnic lunch and time to swim. Select from two options when booking—traveling both ways by 4WD or flying back to Broome, instead, for aerial views.
4WD Cape Leveque day tour from Broome
Morning and afternoon tea included
Travel across country in an off-road vehicle
Enjoy lunch at Cape Leveque also known as Kooljaman
Option to return to Broome on a flight
Spend the afternoon swimming and relaxing at Cape Leveque
Your day trip to one of the most remote locations in the most remote region of Western Australia begins with early morning pickup in Broome by 4-wheel-drive vehicle. As you listen to narration from your guide about Cape Leveque and the Kimberley region, journey across the red desert environment, only accessible by dirt tracks. Cape Leveque is the northernmost tip of the Dampier Peninsula, an Aboriginal-owned piece of land surrounded by the waters of the Indian Ocean. Stop at the Beagle Bay Aboriginal Community for morning tea, and see the pearl-shell alter of the Beagle Bay church. Continuing north to One Arm Point Community, enjoy a prime view of the Buccaneer Archipelago and admire the Kimberley’s large tidal flows. When you reach Cape Leveque, known natively as Kooljaman, relax on the beach, enjoy a picnic lunch, take photos of the rocky red coastline and cool off in the ocean. Your day trip ends either with the return 4WD trip to Broome, where you’ll arrive in the evening, or with a direct flight to Broome, arriving in the late afternoon.

Excellent trip. Guide was wonderful...

Excellent trip. Guide was wonderful. Helped an orphaned Joey along the way. Pearl farm was really interesting.
Very informative and well organised. Going one way on the bus an adventure but we were very pleased to have booked the flight option home! would thoroughly recommend as a straightforward way to see a bit of the wilderness
The driver thought that the rougher the trip the better the experience. This may satisfy back packers, but not those who value their spine. If he owned the vehicle I think he would handle the vehicle differently. The flight back is excellent.
Enjoyed this tour immensely.
Pick up was seamless from my accommodation.
On this tour we went from Broome to the tip of the Dampier Peninsular and return. I did the whole trip in the 4WD bus and enjoyed the scenery from the bus windows, plus the driver commentary.
Along the way we visited two aboriginal communities, Beagle Bay and One Arm Point. Beagle Bay had a beautiful church and was our stop for morning tea. One Arm Point was a beautiful location, where we stopped for lunch and had a tour of the commercial activities the community is engaged in to raise money.
We also visited Cygnet Bay Pearling farm, where we had a very interesting tour of the facility.
We had the opportunity to swim at beautiful Cape Leveque beach, where there was a fresh water shower for use after your swim and changing facilities.
The bus driver had a wealth of knowledge.
I would recommend this tour, if visiting Broome.
Fantastic tour. We enjoyed a fabulous day with our Guide, Ross, from Kimberley Wild. From the red earth road, to the incredible coast line. Ross was able to provide historic and interesting commentary about the area. The tour was catered, and lunch option very good. Great value!
