We had a great tour. Guide was wonderful and pointed out interesting spots and was very knowledgeable. He also took us to a great public beach with restaurant, showers and restrooms as well as chairs and umbrellas. The beach was beautiful!
When we arrived we waited for 30 min for a van to take us, then we were taken to the run cake place. That was another 30 min. The drive to the beach was another 20 min so our beach time we really wanted was only hour and 30 min. We were to get bottle water and they said they left it on the other bus. Then when we arrived at beach, the beach chair was 20.00 per a person. Very disorganized tour. If you take this one, take 100.00 more for beach chair, food, and water, you will need it.
Was disappointed with this tour. The advertisement for the Seven Mile Beach Getaway showed a picture of the Royal Palms Beach Resort with a beautiful pool and bar beside the ocean. We were NOT taken there. We were taken to a public entrance to the beach that had Jack in its name. The beach was beautiful but highly crowded. We walked awhile to get away from the crowd. Remove the picture of the Royal Palms if you want to describe your excursion accurately.
We could have taken a cab to the hotel for 8.00 per person and paid a nominal fee to use the beach. The rum factory tour was a stop at a store to sample 2 flavored rums equivalent to 1/2 tsp each and 2- 1 x 1 x 1.2 inch thick piece of rum cake.. Purchases were optional.
If I could give zero stars I would. This was the worst and it ruined my trip. First off they pack 3tours in one van. Packed us in like sardines. Then went everywhere but the beach. Then went back to pack more ppl on an already packed van. Never did make it to the beach. Greedy tour guides. Don't go!
Outstanding facility. Beautiful beach and water. Very clean and nice restaurant and restrooms. Great place to spend the day. Staff very attentive. But be prepared, the prices are high like everything else on Grand Cayman.
So I want to start by saying the beach is beautiful, the private part of the beach they take you to is very nice as well, food, drinks, all available. If you are excited about the wifi then you will be disappointed. The wifi did not work and only showed up when you were standing right near the bar. If you were on the beach you had no service at all. The worst part of this tour was that the description is misleading. The 20 does not include the 12 chair rental or the 15 umbrella rental. You are better off catching a taxi. If cost 4 to get from the port to the beach and 2 to gain access to this part of the beach. The driver just takes you to the rum factory but you can have your taxi driver do that and it will still be cheaper. Everyone who goes there gets to sample the rum and cake. Over all the beach was wonderful but I wouldn't book this excursion. I rather pay a little more and have the chairs and umbrella be included. This trip was 14 too much for what you get. The driver was ok, but I've had better excursions and tours. This was received two stars solely because the beach was so beautiful.
The meeting spot off of the cruise ship was a little hard to find but we kept asking for help. We also had 2 different companies to meet the first copy I printed had Clark Tours and the second had Amvio Tours. This was confusing. We ended up waiting an hour 10am our time, 9am their local time because the local time was not specified on the tour or ticket info. There were only 4 of us total and we didn't leave the port area until 10:15am. It seems there was confusion on what tour we booked because it was different than the other couple. Our driver, Marcos, was frustrated as well. Once we got started, we had a very fast visit to the rum factory then to the beach. We had a very nice time and Marcos was great. Chairs at the beach are 12 each and drinks as well as food at the bar are very expensive. This tour could use some organization and maybe switch the times so that their tour leaves with all of the other ones. We could have easily took a taxi and been to the locations a lot sooner.
