Hotel transport included.
  • 3-hour Ballet Folklorico show in Mexico City
  • Watch talented musicians and dancers perform on stage
  • Enjoy captivating costumes in a swirl of color
  • Learn about the history and culture of Mexico through its songs and dances
  • Round-trip transport from most downtown Mexico City, Reforma and Polanco hotels
After pickup from your hotel in the downtown Mexico City, Reforma or Polanco area, travel by air-conditioned coach with your guide to one of Ballet Folklorico of Mexico’s four rotating venues.

Settle into your seat and discover for yourself what makes this performance the 'Best Dance Show of the World in Mexico.’ Witness the Mexico of yesterday and today during three hours of entertainment with stirring folk songs and dances, including mariachi music. Founded by Amalia Hernandez, the Ballet Folklorico of Mexico has performed more than 15,000 shows to 22 million people worldwide. The folk dance company is dedicated to preserving Mexico’s traditional arts by filming dances, recording music and photographing costumes from regions throughout Mexico, and presents these forms on stage.

Listen to the music and watch each choreographed dance to learn about the folk traditions from various populations in Mexico, ranging from the Yucatan Peninsula’s Maya empire to the cowboy cultures of Spanish-colonized Jalisco. Multi-colored shawls, embroidered shirts, sombreros, fans and ribbons are all part of the cultural spectacle.

After the final bows from the cast, board your coach for transport back to your hotel.

Ballet Folklorico Mexico City

My two cousins and I attended the Ballet Folklorico at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. I have been to folklorico programs before in the US, so I am familiar with this sort of concert. This program was the MOST beautiful folklorico that I had ever seen. Mariachi Vargas was OUTSTANDING. Everything was well organized. The theater was beautiful. We had a great time. I would highly recommend this to all people that visit Mexico City. Loved it!

This was great but I realized actually that you can just buy tickets at the kiosk near Chapultepec Castle for like 40, or I imagine inside the venue itself, and take the subway right to Palacio das Bellas Artes. Or walk there. I ended up being the only one on the tour but the guy picked me up at a random hotel I picked, and ended up dropping me off at my house because I didn't want to walk home 30 min in the dark by myself. He was really nice. Way overpriced though considering how inexpensive the actual tickets are. The show was absolutely awesome though, 10/10. Go see it one way or another.

Excellent show. Non stop bright Mexican dancing and music. Wonderful costumes. Well worth the money and time. The building itself is a gorgeous and worth the visit on its own.

When booking this tour several months ago we were not informed that the Ballet would be presented in an outdoor venue. Outdoors in January! It had rained that day, so the stage and the seats were wet. The show began and the rain returned with wind and temperatures in the 40's. The show was stopped because dancers were slipping and falling on the stage and we were getting soaked and shivering in the cold. We were most dissatisfied with this.

The ballet is an amazing show, however this tour is a ripoff. The tour is expensive, but the seats we had were in the third floor of the theater. Therefore the show was barely visible from that height. Also the driver told us the van would be in the sample place after the show and it wasn't. Poor.

The folkloric ballet was absolutely stunning, and getting the chance to go inside the Palacio de Bellas Artes was a breathtaking experience myself and companions will never forget. The transportation to and from our hotel was smooth and very professional.

When I made the reservation I specified our hotel, the BW Majestic. When we arrived in Mex. City I received an e-mail stating a pickup at a different hotel. That took a phone call to straighten out. The pickup was on time, etc. We were picked up in a car and delivered/returned. Driver was pleasant and professional. However, it was pretty expensive for a short ride. I'd not been to Mex. City before. Now I realize I could have easily walked or taken a taxi to the venue and back. Not worth the cost--I should have purchased the tickets and gotten to the Ballet Folklorico myself.

I was extremely disappointed to have paid a lot of money for a tour that was only a ride from a hotel not mine! to the event. No additional information given. I tried to engage the guide in conversation in Spanish and English but he was too busy looking for the other people on the tour to talk to me. I could have easily taken a cab from my own hotel! to the venue, seen the show and saved a lot of money. I am extremely unhappy and put your tour in the category of rip off.

The worst! Printed voucher/ electronic voucher was not accepted. "Complimentary pick up" was late so we left. The ballet didn't accept our vouchers, no one spoke English to explain. Turns out the bus had the actual tickets but it's a "complimentary pick up?. Late 15 min into the show
