Our guide , Max, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and pleasant. Seeing first hand and learning how prosciutto, reggianno and balsamic vinegar are made was amazing. The lunch was extraordinary! Food was exquisite and there was plenty of wine flowing. We will never forget this tour and lunch. One issue was that we were given the opportunity to purchase prosciutto at the place we saw it made. We asked the guide if we could take it back to Canada which he said we could without problem. However upon returning the Canada we were told it cannot be brought into Canada so it was seized. wish we had of known that in advance.
Excellent experience. Our guide, Massimo was very knowledgeable and just a pleasure to talk to. He was able to answer all questions with authority and was quite generous with the food samples and wine . We learned everything there is to know about the makings of Parmesan cheese, Prosciutto and Balsamic Vinegar through small producers in Bologna who all took much pride in their products. The Ferrari experience was also a plus.
