Why Travelers Choose This Tour

Entrance to Siena's famous cathedral is guaranteed on this top-rated Tuscan highlights tour.
Your day trip departs from Florence, where you hop aboard your coach and travel through the Tuscan hills.

Arrive first in the medieval city of Siena, celebrated for the horse races that pack cheering crowds into the main square twice a year. Learn about the area's history and architectural gems from your guide as you stroll the cobblestone streets. Make your way to the stunning Siena Cathedral, constructed of striped black and white marble, for a tour of its truly unique interior.

Relax afterward with a 3-course lunch at a local restaurant or winery, enjoying plates of bruschetta, pasta or other regional favorites, complemented by Italian wine.

Continue to the medieval hilltop town of San Gimignano, known for its towers, visible for miles over the cityscape. Soak up some free time to wander the local shops and streets at your own pace.

Reunite with your guide and head next to Pisa and enjoy additional time to discover the city on your own. Check out Pisa Baptistery, the Duomo, or snap a photo with famous Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Your day trip concludes later in the afternoon with transportation back to Florence. Please note that this day trip involves a moderate amount of walking.

The bus was very comfortable. The driver Raul was great. It was a difficult journey in rain. Our guides Katerina and Francesco were informative but also very personable. They made everyone of a very full bus feel welcomed. They clearly love what they do and that made a wonderful day with an amazing lunch all the better. Our compliments to a great team.

Renata & the Driver were great ! Coach is comfortable and has wifi. The tour itself was wonderful but not enough "free time" to enjoy properly each location. Siena and its story is beautiful, San Gimignano is a pleasant place to visit and Lunch was correct but fulfilling, finishing with Pisa, epic .

Dear customer Thank you very much for joining Ciaoflorence and for leaving your feedback! Our tour is meant to give a taste to those who are short on time but do not want to miss Tuscany for this reason! Clients can enjoy at least one hour of free time at each stop that is not that little considering how small these towns are :) However, as in every gorgeous place in the world, you could spend one whole day in every stop, so we really wish you to come back soon for enjoying even more! Wishing you all the best. Regards Ciaoflorence Staff

Siena had a good local guide. SG and Pisa were unaccompanied, with no background or information provided.

Dear client Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry if you find yourself surprised that it was free time in two stops, this is clearly specified in the website tour description. Customers have a guided visit in Siena and then enjoy free time in both the next stops: Pisa and San Gimignano. Very important: before getting off in each stop the group listens to the good explanation and introduction to the place given by our tour leader who keeps giving information and tips all day long. Best Regards Ciaoflorence Staff

Lots and lots of hilly walking

Siena was beautiful and interesting but lots of VERY steep walking... 3.8 miles (pedometer) RT bus to city. The guide in the city was quite overzealous and used up all our free time then left us on impossible crazy streets to find our own way back to meeting point. Some others got lost (easy to do!) and got left behind... when they called they were told to take a taxi to catch up. Lunch was awesome with spectacular views! San Gimignano was also VERY steep but lovely and interesting. Pisa was at least flat but again a LONG walk! The square is green and beautiful and buildings lovely but without tour guide... bring a guide book.

A Whirlwind Day

Boarding the bus for Siena was quite easy to find next to the train station in Florence. The guide was efficient, and brought us to the correct places easily. Siena and its Duomo is a sight to behold. The walking tour of the city was great, and is a good way to decide that further travels of my own will have to be done to this amazing walled city. The lunch provided in the vineyard was pleasant. Time spent in San Gimingano was short, with no walking tour provided. And the time spent in Pisa was just about right for you to see the Leaning Tower, and the outside of the Catherdral and Baptistry.

I loved how we were able to see 3 very different places in a day, the stops go fast but getting to experience all of these locations on one tour is such a great opportunity.

This was a very nice tour, but a really long drive to Pisa. Loved San Gimignano. Not enough time at Siena or San Gimignano.

Dear customer Thank you for the feedback. We are sorry to know that you are not 100% satisfied for your experience. The tour is a great opportunity for those who are short on time and travel on a budget to get a good taste of the whole area and, seen in this perspective,it is very much appreciated :) Considering the distances to cover we get to spend quite a good amount of time in each place, the towns visited are also very small and this allows us to run the tour smoothly. The longest drive is from San Gimignano to Pisa (1h and a half) but this is also strategic because it corresponds to that part of the day normally dedicated to the 'siesta' and people can recuperate the energies thanks to that and get ready for the last stop...Pisa, that many people want to visit to say that they got to see all the highlights of the region! No doubts that, as it is for all the beautiful destinations, you could spend half day in each town. In compensation you will know where you want to stay longer next time you will come. Take care :) Kind Regards Ciaoflorence Staff
