Meet your guide at your hotel in Istanbul’s central Sultanahmet or Taksim districts, and travel through the bustling streets by private, air-conditioned vehicle. Listen as your guide tells tales of Istanbul, charting its history from ancient to modern times, and let them know if there’s anything you want to see more of: your tour itinerary can be adjusted to your wishes. Stop first at the Dolmabahçe Palace, the last home of the Ottoman sultans. This 19th-century waterfront residence blends Ottoman- and European-style architecture, and is filled with grand furnishings, art, chandeliers, gold, and fabrics in the two styles. Absorb the splendid views of the Bosphorus Strait from the grounds, and go inside (own expense) to view the opulent rooms as you hear about the rulers who lived here. After a stop for lunch (own expense), board your private boat for your Bosphorus cruise. Take a seat on deck and, as you sail between Europe and Asia, admire the city’s waterfronts and skylines. Cruise under the Bosphorus and Fatih Sultan Mehmet bridges, and take photos of sights including the Topkapi Palace, Rumeli Fortress, Anatolian Fortress, Maiden’s Tower, Galata Tower, and wooden Ottoman yali mansions lining the Asian waterside. Disembark and dive into the colorful Spice Market as your guide points out great shops and cultural places of interest. Your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel.

Was picked up by my female guide...

Was picked up by my female guide Dilek. Due to the Ramadan there was not many tourists so I was the only one i her group that day. We went by tram to our first stop which was the Dolmabahce Palace. Its beautiful and I loved it. They have the worlds heaviest crystal chandelier, crystal staircase, and the Ceremonial Hall with its magnificent dome. It is well-worth seeing the palace and I would recommend it. Then we went by tram to the ferry. I had 2 hours of views of the both sides of Istanbul and go closer to Bosphorous... Beautiful houses on the both side... It was a nice day and I felt great... Worth it!!! My guide told me about the palace history and sights during the boat ride with a great knowledge and passion.
After the boat trip, my guide took me to one of his favorite restaurants known for his lamb kebab. The lunch was delicious with a good talk about life.
I highly recommend my guide Dilek Acikalim Turka who with her knowledge, passion and humor gave me a fantastic day in Istanbul.
This was our last day of our tour and we had picked the Bosphorus Cruise With Dolmabahçe Palace tour to keep it easy on us. Our tour guide Dilek Türka promptly arrived at our Four Season Hotel and was very accommodating in making changes as we wanted to make few more stops. We had a extended tour of Dolmabahçe Palace and also got to see the soldier parade. We took the tram to Bosphorus Cruise and it was very relaxing. Dilek is very friendly and professional in explaining all aspects of the tour. We really enjoyed Dileks company and she was more like a friend showing us around. We wished we had more time. I would highly recommend Dilek to anyone planning on this tour.
