A 1-hour Whirling Dervishes at Hodjapasha in Istanbul
The show was interesting but it was pretty clear that the 3 Whirling Darvechs did not have their heart in the performance. They looked extremely bored and were just going through the motions of the 3 dances that they performed, which was unfortunate because it is really an interesting story.
The theater was very nice and the seating intimate. Even though the website said the seating for the 1 hour show would not be reserved, each of us had pre-assigned seats.
It was a very interesting and beautiful experience. We collected our tickets from the ticket counter in Hodjapasha theatre. We got fantastic seats. Theater was easy to find - it is clearly visible from the main street just before the Koska sweets shop if you approach from Sultanahmet.
Come at least 20 minutes in advance as there is a queue to get inside which moves fast and you get free refreshments as well.
