But lost iPad and guide located and returned to us
Vast expanse under ground mines
Quite amazing to see the scope of the mine and some of the architecture and sculptures inside. Our guide was very good, knowledgeable and with excellent English. Quite busy though and not a lot of time to explore things in any detail or wander off on your own. Hotel pick up and drop off went very smoothly.
Picked up on time from our hotel and transported to the Salt mine which took about 25 minutes. We then met our guide Peter who took charge of us for the morning.Headsets were handed out.Amazed by the number of people looking to see the mines, so would definitely be part of an organised group.
Walked down a winding wooden staircase approximately 370 steps! Then went from chamber to chamber via long airey tunnels with ample space to walk comfortably.Sculptures and caverns were spectacular.Tour took a couple of hours and was well worth it with the finale an amazing final feature. People should be aware a lot of walking but no inclines so easy walking and well worth it
Wasn't sure about this trip as I suffer from claustrophobia but honestly there is no need to worry. There are alot of steps but it's worth it. We had a great tour guide which made all the difference. I would definitely recommend this tour worth every penny. We booked a few things with Viator who were excellent and would definitely book through them again 😁
Fabulous organisation and information once we were at the mine. No doubting why it is a UNESCO site. A charming inclusion is the sound and light show. It was a fast paced, long walk for a 72 year old woman with 800 steps, so beware if you are disabled or claustrophobic. The tour was very rushed but we were late arriving as two people were late at the pickup point. So disrespectful. We missed the museum and had to toss up between 10 minutes for a toilet stop or time at the souvenir shop. Comfortable bus and good communication from the driver. Costs 10 zloties to take photos. My phone functioned better in the low light than my SLR camera.
Such an enjoyable half-day. The tour is well paced and very interesting. The mines are beautiful - a true wonder. Very well organised and friendly staff. The tour guide was lovely, knowledgable and spoke brilliant English. Very good value for money!
