  • Explore the National Trust estate at your own pace
  • Visit the mansion, gardens, and working farm
  • Take a complimentary tour of the historic mansion
  • Stroll through a rose garden and a maze in the grounds

Head to Cheshire’s Tatton Park and show your Totally Tatton Ticket at the entrance gate. Once inside, the day is your own to explore the history-rich estate that’s spread over some 1,000 acres (405 hectares). Once a family home, the estate consists of a mansion, farm, and extensive gardens. All sites are accessible with your ticket.

Take a walk around the neoclassical mansion, admiring the striking columns of its portico as you enter. Browse a collection of art, furniture, books, and ceramics, then head downstairs for a look at the historic servants’ quarters and kitchens. A complimentary tour of the mansion is offered on a first-come, first-served basis at 12pm.

Stroll around the grounds, admiring gardens created in Japanese and Italian styles. Take in the scent of the blooms in the rose garden, and see the walled kitchen garden where produce for the estate is grown. Other highlights include a conservatory, topiary, maze, fernery and a pineapple house— the only one in England.

The working farm is sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike. See cows, sheep, donkeys, pigs, Shire horses, and goats. Some are rare breeds, tended to by an onsite expert. The farm is also home to hiking trails, cycle routes, a small train, and a play trail, complete with a den-building area. And when you want to relax? Head to the Gardener’s Cottage tearoom.
